COMPANY PROFILE

KOCAER GROUP commenced its operations in the iron and steel sector in the early 1960s in Denizli. KOCAER ROLLING MILL, the first company of KOCAER GROUP, established its second and third facilities in the Aliaga Region/Izmir in 1996 and 2008 respectively. KOCAER ROLLING MILL is currently continuing its production activities in a total area of 270 thousand m2 in which 70 thousand m2 is covered facility.

Having higher objectives, KOCAER ROLLING MILL has increased its total annual capacity to 600.000 Mtons with the modernization investments. In addition to its standard products, for specific projects, the company manufactures special products, ranging up to 18 meters in its facilities for mining, ship building, railroads, automotive and agricultural machinery industries. Also, products with the desired quality, diverse dimensions and standards are manufactured based on the specific requests of the clients.

KOCAER ROLLING MILL has equipped all of its production lines with the technological infrastructure ensuring the manufacturing of uniform products.

KOCAER ROLLING MILL consistently enhances its success with a wide range of products, and manufactures Equal Angles (20 mm to 200 mm), UPN / PFC and UAC Profiles (30 mm to 300 mm), IPN, IPE, IPEA, and IPEAA Profiles (80 mm to 300 mm), RSJ Profiles (76 mm to 203 mm), T-Bars (25 mm to 50 mm), Flat Bars (20 mm to 150 mm), Square Bars, Round Bars (10 mm to 50 mm) and special grade high tensile flats and sections for railroad, automotive

and agricultural machinery industry, TH70/29-34 and GI120No profiles (DIN21530) for mining industry, Bulb flats for ship building, F2, F3-A and F7 type window sections which are designed by Kocaer (registered by the Turkish Patent Institute).

KOCAER ROLLING MILL controls every stage of its production process with the utmost attention in order to increase customer satisfaction. It certifies the quality in every stage of its process, from the raw material procurement to the delivery of the finished products, with its professional experts and high technology quality control equipment. The ISO 9001 International Quality Management System Certificate, CE Marking Production Control Certificate, IRAM S-Mark Certificate and the TSE Certificate of Compliance with Turkish and EN standards are just a few of the certificates which document this success.

With the help of the significant investment in the engineering force and infrastructure, KOCAER ROLLING MILL conducts its activities at its certified R&D department and accredited laboratories; first in the private rolling mills in Turkey; with superior attention in its advanced technology production facilities.

With export activities in over 100 countries, the KOCAER ROLLING MILL holds a significant place in the sector, and was included in the top 100 Largest Export Companies according to the Turkish Exporters Assembly since 2008; the 63rd on 2014 with an export turnover of more than USD200 million.

PROFILE PROPERTIES

TH profiles are widely used in underground mines and railroad/highway tunnels, providing not only a higher resistance but also a yielding support to stabilize the underground cavities.

One of the most significant advantages of TH profiles against I and H profiles is their ability to provide same high tensile momentum on both cross sections (X-X and Y-Y) throughout the profile.

Besides the ease of assembly, dismantling and high performance at the junctions; they maintain full support

during the decreasing cross section of the underground cavity by sliding on each other without major deformation.

Next to the superior design advantages, the use of high tensile steel (31Mn4-S480W-S550W) during the production also maintains high durability performance.

The major accessories of TH profiles are the clamps enabling the ease of sliding of the profiles on each other and the traversal junctions that assist to work the profiles simultaneously. It is crucial to torque the clamps and the traversal junctions for the system to work efficiently.
