Grey headstone with a rounded top. Born on 8 Apr 1945, son of Ronald Antony Sutch and Kathleen Frances Sutch (née Roden). (His parents married in Malta on 29 Apr 1944.) Educated at Downside (where his brother Dom Antony Sutch was headmaster until 2002) and Exeter College, Oxford. He joined Swire in 1966, raising to manageing director of Cathay Pacific in 1984 and to chairman of the Swire Group in Hong Kong in 1992, retiring in 1999. He was appointed CBE in 1995, and honoured by the new Hong Kong regime with the Gold Bauhinia Star in 2000. Married, first, in 1968, Rosemary Langan; they had three sons and a daughter. After the marriage was dissolved in 1996, he married Gillian Stevens; that marriage was dissolved in 2001. He died aged 56 at Rome. There was a requiem mass at Downside Abbey on 15 Mar 2002. There were obituaries in The Daily Telegraph of 15 Mar 2002 and the South China Morning Post of 8 Mar 2002. There is a entry for him in
