Design Competitions

• The AIAA Foundation sponsors design competitions every year. These competitions offer a great opportunity for students to participate in a simulated real-world problem, allowing students to gain experience and receive useful and constructive feedback from technical experts who sit on AIAA Technical Committees.

Rocket Labs

• We have even more rocket kits than last year!• Most schools seemed excited to have us return

for another launch event, we need to start setting dates and recruiting volunteers

• We need to provide a lesson for the teacher to present a few days before

• We also need to present a design challenge – determine the impact of mass on average distance

• Current leaders have been in office ~4 years• Need to start recruiting now• Need to understand the regional and National

positions available and the Michigan folks currently involved
