Vocational Pathways provide a simple way to understand how your studies align to industry. They enable students to see how their learning is relevant for a wide range of jobs and study options in six broad sectors of industry.

The Vocational Pathways are the product of a partnership between government agencies, the industry training sector, secondary and tertiary representatives, industry, and employer representatives.

Vocational Pathways provide tools so you can develop a career map and plan what you may need to study to meet your goals and move into further study and the workforce.

I chose this course because I live on a farm and was looking for a more hands-on farming course to learn some more skills, as well as seeing how others farm.

So far my favourite thing is how hands-on and physical the class is. It’s not just sitting around doing paper work - you actually get to get in there and do real farm work.In the future I want to go into shearing and own or work on a station. I have grown up around this kind of farming and would like to carry on with it. The course relates well because we go out to Tarata and learn about sheep handling and shearing tips - definitely something that will be helpful for me in the future.
