Welcome to Prairie Hill
Welcome Visitors Welcome to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. We are a loving and
welcoming family of faith, excited about what God has done and continues to do for us. We rejoice that you have chosen to worship with us. This bulle-
tin along with the screen in the front of the sanctuary will guide worship. The page numbers for the service refer to the front of the red hymnals in
the pew. You will find hymns in the back of the same hymnal. The * indicates where you are invited to stand. We desire and encourage children to partici-pate in our worship, but just in case, a cry room and a bathroom are located near the church entrance. If you have any questions about our church fam-
ily, membership, or interested in conversation with Pastor Kyle, call the church office at 979-836-8666.
Statement of Faith St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill is a congregation of people who love Jesus and are passionate about God’s Kingdom. We are firmly rooted in the
Lutheran “flavor” of Christianity, with a strong emphasis on the power of God’s grace.
Season of the Church Year: Time After Pentecost + Liturgical Color: White The Sanctuary colors serve to adorn the worship space, and to call attention
to the nature of the season or festival being celebrated. White suggests the joy of the Resurrection.
Worship Times Sundays: 8:00 and 10:05 a.m.
Sunday School: 9 a.m.
Office Hours Monday through Wednesday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
We encourage you take this bulletin home, pray the prayer list, note dates, and reflect of the scripture readings.

FIRST READING Acts 5:27-32 Pew Bible, p. 107 (NT)
RESPONSIVE READING Psalm 118: 14-29 14The Lord is my strength and my song, and has become my salvation. 15Shouts of rejoicing and salvation echo in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the Lord acts valiantly! 16The right hand of the Lord is exalted! The right hand of the Lord acts valiantly!” 17I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. 18The Lord indeed punished me sorely, but did not hand me over to death. 19Open for me the gates of righteousness; I will enter them and give thanks to the Lord. 20“This is the gate of the Lord; here the righteous may enter.” 21I give thanks to you, for you have answered me and you have become my salvation. 22The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. 23By the Lord has this been done; it is marvelous in our eyes. 24This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. 25Hosanna! O Lord, save us! We pray to you, Lord, prosper our days! 26Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord; we bless you from the house of the Lord.
