The 2020 Giving Tree Goes Virtual!

This year is St. Rose of Lima’s 35th year participating in the

Giving Tree. It is a great opportunity for all of us to live out the

Gospel and care for others. This year, in order to successfully

collect and deliver Christmas gifts to area families in need and

keep everyone healthy, the Giving Tree is going to be online.

Please consider supporting one or more of the following

organizations this Christmas, helping to bring joy to families

    in need.

    Urban Missionaries:

We’ve created a Virtual tag system for Urban Missionaries

which can be found at www.saintroseoflima.com/thegiving

tree. There will also be a limited number of tags that can be

picked up after Mass or hanging in front of the Family Life

Center, MondayThursday from 10 am until 5 pm.

Gifts can be mailed directly to Urban Missionaries of Our Lady

of Hope, 242 Canterbury St., Worcester, MA 01603, dropped

off at the FLC, Monday thru Thursday from 10 am until 5 pm

or returned when you come to Mass. All gifts must be returned

by Sunday, December 13th at 11 am.

If you are dropping off gifts at St. Rose of Lima, please bring

them to the Family Life Center between 10AM5PM, Monday

    Thursday.

All gifts should be left unwrapped and returned by 11 am

on Sunday, December 13th with gift tag ID attached.

Please note that during this unusual season, we are unable to

accept gifts after 11:00 AM on December 13th. Please send all

late gifts directly to Urban Missionaries in Worcester.

The gift wishes for Visitation House and UMass have been

filled. Thank you for your generosity.

    Prayer Shawl Ministry…..

The ladies of the Prayer Shawl Ministry have been faithfully

knitting/crocheting in their homes, creating beautiful prayer

shawls, during this time of isolation. Once again, I want to

thank them for their generosity and spirit of love.

Right now, our cabinet is full of various colors and sizes of

prayer shawls that are ready to be given to anyone you believe

would enjoy or benefit from receiving one.

So many people right now have Covid fatigue. If you know

someone that might appreciate a “God,” hug during this time,

please call the parish office (5083932413) or Lee Zawacki

(5083939253) and we will be happy to help you find just the

shawl that may bring a smile to a worried face or fill someone

with a feeling of hope during Advent.
