+++SHEPHERD’S PIE UPDATE +++ Food Donations Needed: The following food items are needed to cook our winter soups and stews; pasta sauces, Northern White beans, kidney beans, canned diced and whole tomatoes, low sodium chicken broth and grated cheeses. Please place the items in the entry way boxes marked ‘Shepherd’s Pie.’

Community Food Initiative to Feed Local Children: The REC (Selinsgrove Regional Engagement Center) contin-ues to reach out to give our local students a supportive and positive place to go after school. They have over 50 students who come for homework support and sports in an overall safe environment. For each of these programs, the REC looks to the community to help with healthy snacks of ready to eat fruits and veggies. They can be dropped off at the REC Center, 429 North 8th Street – corner of 8th and Mill Streets in Selinsgrove. Enter through the door at the back (by the parking lot) before 3:00 pm. This is one simple way we can ALL create the healthy atmosphere that combats the drug culture temptations. Any after school snacks you could provide for this hungry crew is always welcome.
