UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE Does it ever seem like the Bible, especially the Old Testament, is a random collection of books that are hard to follow? Join our Inquiry Class this Thursday, January 18, at 7:00 PM for the first of a four-part series on Salvation History (the history of God reaching out to us, calling us to communion with Himself, as family). As St. Augustine said, the New Testament lies hidden in the Old and the Old Testament is unveiled in the New. We don’t really understand Jesus until we understand the Old Testament. Join us for a short series where we piece together the Old Testament of the Bible in a way that reveals the narrative thread, the story of God reaching out to us. We will start this Thursday, with the first class on Salvation History, and continue for the next three consecutive Thursdays, all starting at 7:00 PM in Room 203. Join us! HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS – SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY! Middle School and High School students have an opportunity to win $100 in the Knights of Columbus essay contest. Forms are available in the bins near the bulletin board in St. Francis Hall, and essays must be submitted prior to February to be eligible for the $100 prize from St. Anthony’s Knights of Columbus - and to potentially be sent to the state level for additional awards. Contact a Knight for more information. RIGHT TO LIFE BREAKFAST SERVED BY THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS January is a month

dedicated to respecting life, and the Knights of Columbus will host a breakfast to increase awareness and support next Sunday, January 21, following the morning Masses. Proceeds will support respect life causes, including the Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative in cooperation with First Choice Clinic. 78% of abortion-minded women who see an ultrasound of their unborn child choose life. Please help the Knights increase the availability and effectiveness of this technology by making a donation and supporting the breakfast.

RESPONDING WITH LOGIC AND LOVE PROGRAM On Wednesday nights, all parishioners are encouraged to attend Dr. Edward Sri’s program, “Who am I to Judge? Responding to Relativism with Logic and Love,” at 6:30 PM in the Knights/Fr. McGivney room (#206). Dr. Sri will be in Fargo for the Redeemed Conference this Spring – this program is a great way to prepare for his live presentation.
