Dear Parents

We all know that COVID 19 has spread its tentacles all over

the world. The offices are closed, businesses are at halt,

schools are shut down, and there is a situation of complete

lockdown. Amidst this, I urge our dear parents to spend

quality time with the children. Use this time to teach your

children lessons of life. Involve them in day to day chores

like making their bed, helping you in the kitchen, setting

their cupboards, polish their shoes etc. Set a routine of

physical exercise for them so that their energy is utilized the

optimum. Not only this, talk to them about your life

experiences, teach them virtues such as kindness,

helpfulness, honesty etc. Read to them stories which will

enrich their vocabulary, take them closer to the roots and

give wings to their imagination. Let's join hands in making

the best use of this time granted to us.

The school is making every possible endeavor to help you in

this.

Regards

Ms. Sudeshna Sharma

Principal

FUN FACTS

Seasons Facts for Kids

• The four seasons are spring, summer, autumn, and winter

• We see more thunderstorms during the summer

• Trees prepare for winter during Autumn

• The days get shorter during Autumn

• Winter can be associated with snow and freezing temperatures.

• Animals like bears and squirrels hibernate in wintertime

• The seasons don’t come at the same time of the year for everyone. For example…When it is winter in the United States, Australia is having summer. That means Christmas in Australia is warm and sunny!

SPRING • Spring starts when the day and night are the same length.

• The weather is warmer and sunnier, and trees and plants begin to grow.

• Many animals have their babies in spring.

Page 32: seasons Kindergarten

SUMMER • Summer generally starts on the longest day of the year.

Depending on where you live, this is typically around 21 June.

• We start to see fruit grows on trees, and plants begin to flourish.

• Young animals become bigger and stronger.

AUTUMN (FALL) • Autumn (is also known as the fall,) begins when the day and

night are the same lengths again.

• During autumn, leaves change color and fall from the trees.

• Some animals collect food for winter comes.

Page 33: seasons Kindergarten

WINTER • Winter starts on the shortest day of the year. Depending on

where you live, this is generally around this 21 December.

• Plants and trees stop growing. Some animals, like bats and bears one places to hide and sleep. We call this hibernation.

Why we have seasons

• We have different seasons because of the earth’s constant movement around the sun.

• The closer a place on earth is to the sun, the warmer it will be.

• The farther away it is, the colder it will be.
