It’s an exciting time at the Carroll County Arts Council as we announce our first-ever Season Pass! Enclosed you will find the magnificent line up of performers for the 2019-2020 season, from legends with decades of excellence under their belts to stars still on the rise. You’ll also find instructions on how to take advantage of Season Pass prices and benefits.I know you want to skip immediately to see who is coming to our stage, but I want to quickly tell you about our Mission. We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that enriches our community, both culturally and economically, by presenting, promoting and supporting a wide variety of arts opportunities for residents, visitors, and artists. Our vision is for the arts to be a vehicle for appreciation, aesthetics and inclusivity that improve the quality of life throughout our community. Accordingly, we strive to make the live performing arts and visual arts accessible to everyone in our diverse community. It is with great pride that I thank our supporters for making these extraordinary programs possible. We are extremely grateful to our board, staff, sponsors, members, and, of course, the patrons who have embraced the spirit of the Carroll County Arts Council. Your support means so much. A live production of “A Christmas Carol” has become a tradition at the Carroll Arts Center during the holiday season. This year the Center welcomes back the acclaimed Maryland Ensemble Theatre for their joyful version of Charles Dickens’ classic tale in a heartwarming adaptation that is designed to appeal to all ages. The main character of Ebenezer Scrooge is a miser in the first degree and he thinks Christmas is “humbug.” When Scrooge is visited by the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future, he starts to see his life in a different light. Dr. Andaleeb Badiee Banta, Senior Curator and Department Head of Prints, Drawings & Photographs at The Baltimore Museum of Art, discusses the opportunities and challenges facing art museums to remain relevant in today’s social, intellectual, and political landscape.Banta was formerly the curator of European and American art the Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College in Ohio. She was previously a curator at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC and a curatorial assistant at the Morgan Library & Museum in New York. She has taught art history at Amherst College, Vassar College, Hunter College in the City University of New York, and McDaniel College.

Street and lot parking is metered but times and cost vary. Covered parking is available in the parking garage on the corner of Green St. and Liberty St. Parking in the alleys directly next to and behind the Arts Center is private and should not be used by arts center patrons.
