Hand-stitched.Back has two layers of fringe, the top layer 27 inches long.

Town Map glued onto linen. Map is 15" x 12 1/2". linen is 16" x13 1/4". Map on grey paper using faded black ink with some blackink and pencil marks. The map shows various boxes, all 1" x 1/2",some with 3 to 4 lines within, and some empty. Along the bottomof the paper is what appears to b e an immage of a river, possiblythe millstream or the Willamette. An offshoot streem is drown inthe right corner, about 6 1/2" long. Ther are some names listedwithin the boses. Writing is in cursive. There are 11 rows ofboxes across the bottom , and 9 up/down the left side. In theupper left corner is written "165 feet long, 66 feet wide". On thetop is written "Oregon Institute". In the upper write corner written,"The streets are all 99 feet/ wide except thos numbering 89(?) /whare only 66 feet wide.
