A database is an organized collection of data.

It is the collection of schemas, tables, queries, reports, views, and other objects. The data is

typically organized to model aspects of reality in a way that supports processes requiring information.

Search & Collections In Paragon

• Search & Collections is a tool within paragon that’s used to query your data

and mine out certain attributes for review or change.

• A query or search inside paragon can save valuable time

• For example: adding end type connections to a component or even changing long descriptions,

or my personal favorite changing or adding bolt sets.

Search & Collections In Paragon

Once in Paragon start by selecting a section or cate,

I would like to search all the cates for bolt references.

If you would like to search for a particular component

under a section then cate should be your choice.

Example: changing or adding bolt sets.

Now navigate to the home tab and click search.

A search box appears. Change all to Scom in our case.

We ill be searching all Scoms under the section for

bolts.

Notice the added filter highlighted in blue is set to BLRF

or bolt reference. Also I know that I placed LPJT in the

name for all my lap-joint bolt sets.

Example: changing or adding bolt sets.

Now navigate to the home tab and click

search.

Now you have collected the data

Now we can set up out columns

You can access Column by right clicking on the column header.

Example: changing or adding bolt sets.Adding columns will define the attributes for BLTR

You may edit the bolt references in this window by double clicking

Also other windows functions work here like Copy, Paste & Cut

Example: changing or adding bolt sets.By right clicking on a particular Scom you can navigate

to that item in the hierarchy, this is helpful if you need to

view a particular item or double check info
