Principal’s Ponderings
Fundraising
It is fabulous news to hear how successful fundraising has been
throughout 2018, which will see a large injection of new books for
our library. On behalf of the school community I sincerely thank
everyone who has assisted in fundraising so far this year with
particular mention to our fundraising ladies - Patty van den Hoogen
and Rachelle Polesso. The students are the recipients of your service
to Seaford Rise.
Update
Parent/Caregivers will receive my termly update (also available on
Skooolbag) in which a number of matters are covered. Please take
time to read it and where required respond accordingly.
Safe and happy holidays to all.

Outdoor Fun in OSHC
No more rain means more time for outside play!
Importance of outdoor play.
Playing outdoors promotes wellbeing by decreasing stress and increasing physical exercise. It also helps children explore their natural environment, express their crea-tivity and develop resilience and coordination skills. In OSHC kids engage in numerous outdoor activities such as:
Outdoor games –such as running, jumping, balancing, skipping and playing ball games strengthen muscles and help develop motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination.
Treasure Hunt - kids will enjoy finding the hidden treasures outdoor. Group Story Telling – children will be relaxed during outdoor storytelling. Outside homework time - homework time will be more enjoyable outside. Outdoor drawing – drawing birds, insects and other things found outdoors. Outdoor exploration – explore and learn about all the things they see. Picnic – kids can take their snacks outside to eat.
Meet the team
We’re here to make OSHC the best experience possible. If you have any questions
about the program, feel free to drop by, meet the team and see what happens first
hand in the program.
