• The title sequence starts with a close-up shot of a book which creates mystery and suspense for the audience as they don’t know what’s in it yet.• Then there are high-angle shots looking down to the book

which shows many different shots of close-ups on objects that the audience may be confused about. This creates suspense for them.

• The use of colours red and black associate danger, violence and death. This makes the audience feel threatened and scared.• The titles keep flashing which engages the audience into the

titles to keep watching them.

Sound

• There is mostly non-diegetic sounds in the title sequence for example high pitch noises which makes the audience think that there is screaming. This represents danger and someone that may need help desperately. • The church bells suggests a warning of danger that the

man could be dangerous.• The background music is heavy-sounding and is quite

fast. this is typical of a thriller movie as it creates suspense.
