DIRECTIONS

Eagle Brae, Struy, Beauly, Inverness-shire, IV4 7JT You can approach from the south via Inverness or from the west via Drumnadrochit and Cannich. Travel on the A862 from Inverness towards Beauly, take the turning for the A831, the race site is just south of Erchless Castle. From Drumnadrochit, leave the A82 and follow the A831, the race site is just north of Glen Affric Holiday Park. SDAS signs will direct you to the site from the A831.

TRAIL DESCRIPTION

A challenging all grass trail set in a beautiful location. Course will be clearly marked and will have ski netting in places. Mainly flat but don’t let that fool you. Trail includes a small bridge crossing.

TRAIL DISTANCES All classes: 3 miles - except Junior trail: 1 mile

CLASSES

DR8; DR8NB: 5 – 8 dogs (3 or 4 wheeled rigs, must have all wheels braking) DR6; DR6NB; DR6NB other: 4 – 6 dogs DR4; DR4NB; DR4NB other: 3 – 4 dogs (inc. IFSS Junior age category if numbers allow) DR3; DR3NB; DR3NB other: 3 dogs (results combined with DR4 for WCp points & qualifying) DBM; DBW; DBMNB; DBWNB; DBMNB other; DBWNB other: 1 dog Bikejor, Mens & Womens Categories (including IFSS age categories for Junior & Veteran where numbers allow) DS2; DS2NB; DS2NB other: 2 dog Scooter or Rig (inc. IFSS Junior age category if numbers allow) DS1; DS1NB; DS1NB other: 1 dog Scooter (inc. IFSS Junior age category if numbers allow) DCM; DCW: 1 dog Canicross Men / Women (inc. IFSS Veteran & Junior categories if numbers allow) Junior Canicross 8 - 15 yrs: 1 dog Boys / Girls - Non IFSS WCp Class Junior 1 dog rig: 8 – 11 years only - Non IFSS WCp Class Junior 1 - 2 dogs rig: 12 – 15 years only – Non IFSS WCp Class Recreational: non-timed canicross, scooter, bikejor or rig - max 8 dogs per team

CLASSES - LOCAL VARIATION

Separate DR3 class. Separate DR2 class. Non IFSS World Cup Junior classes from age of 8 to 15 years, No Nordic Breed Other (Freight) in DR8.

WORLD CUP POINTS

Drivers with DID numbers will be eligible to gain World Cup points at this race. Where necessary results of classes will be combined to give the relevant results

FACILITIES

Toilets Camping at £5/night available from Thursday Bonfire Hot meals on Saturday evening £5 per head - Venison Stew & chicken curry. Vegetarian meals available – Must be pre-ordered with entry Free bar on Saturday night – donations please for chosen charity

VENUE INFORMATION

All competitors MUST be on site prior to the race starting, there will be no admittance once the race is under way. If anyone can has wood they do not require, it would be appreciated if it could be brought to the venue, where a bonfire will make a pleasant gathering point for competitors to relax after racing.
