BlackBerry 7.1 Script

FADE FROM DARKNESS.

Dark background.

Profile of the 7.1 lockup (referred to as the Coin). Sheen passes over the side of the Coin from the top to the bottom. Once it reaches the bottom of the Coin, the Coin begins to spin on its axis.

The Coin spins twice before it stops to face the camera. There is only ‘7’ written in the centre.

After a beat, from off-screen and behind the camera, ‘.1’ appears and slaps itself onto the Coin, next to the ‘7’. The moment ‘.1’ hits the Coin a ripple effect occurs and four apps emerge from it. The apps are – Mobile Hotspot, the Near Field Communication icon, Enhanced Battery Life and FM Radio. The apps hover for two seconds, before they start orbiting the Coin. The Coin, in the meantime, rocks back and forth, twice, before becoming stable again. The Coin now reads ‘7.1’.

The camera then circles the Coin, following the Mobile Hotspot app. The camera closes in on the app – in the frame is only the Mobile Hotspot app. Five BlackBerry smartphones pop up around the app. A connector appears from the Mobile Hotspot app and connects with the smartphones. Beside the app, text fades in.

Mobile Hotspot

After a beat text fades in.

Make productivity easier

The smartphones and text fade away. The camera zooms out so the other apps and the Coin appear in the frame. Mobile Hotspot returns to orbit and becomes attached to the Coin (top right corner).

The camera begins to follow the NFC icon.

When the camera reaches the NFC icon, two BlackBerry smartphones appear on either side of the icon, leaning against each other. The NFC icon slides up. The phones then tap each other and are pushed aside.

From the smartphone on the right a contact card, icons of a file, videos, pictures and music appear and glide to the other smartphone. As the icons disappear into the second smartphone, text appears, each line following the other.

Near Field CommunicationMake sharing exciting

The smartphone and text disappear. The icon is pulled back to the Coin and attaches on the left side.

The camera pans a little, before the Enhanced Battery Life app comes into the frame. The ‘+’ is not on the app. The battery is only a white outline. The battery frame on the app, blinks twice, before the ‘+’ appears and the white fills the battery frame from left to right.

Text appears beside the app.

Enhanced Battery Life

The text fades away. The camera zooms out as the Enhanced Battery Life app gets stuck on the bottom right corner of the Coin.

The camera begins to follow the FM Radio app. The app fills the frame, and the graphic equalizer on the app dances.

The camera pans around the app, zooming out a little, to show a pair of headphones attaching themselves to the top of a BlackBerry smartphone. The headphones vibrate and music annotations emerge from the speakers.

Text appears beside the app.

FM Radio

The lines follow each other after a beat.

Enjoy information and entertainmentat your fingertips

The text and headphones disappear. The camera follows the FM Radio app as it orbits the Coin and attached itself to the top left-hand corner of the Coin.

The camera pans and zooms out till the 7.1 lockup with the apps attached to it is in the centre of the frame.

After two beats, text appears above the lockup in blue and green gradient.

CROSSFADE

The lockup to four BlackBerry smartphones. The Bold 9900, Bold 9790, Curve 9320 and the Curve 9220. Text, in the meantime, fades into smaller white font.

Upgrade to BlackBerry 7.1 OS today.

Everything fades to black. The BlackBerry logo appears in the centre of the frame. The disclaimer appears at the bottom of the screen.

FADE TO DARKNESS.
