The conceptThe Stöckert SCP contributes to meeting the globally increasing de-mand for centrifugal pumps used in extracorporeal perfusion.The concept of the integrated Cen-trifugal Pump System offers a ma-ximum degree of flexibility to the user of Stöckert heart-lung ma-chines of the new generation:

Space-saving: Thanks to its mast mounting system, the SCP does not take up any additional pump position on the console.

Easy installation: The SCP can be easily mounted and integra- ted into the system by means of its fast clamp connectors and its CAN-BUS System.

Simple retrofitting: The SCP is compatible with all S3/SC heart- lung machines.

Cost-effective: The SCP can be operated with all existing moni- toring and control devices e.g., pressure control, level control and bubble detector.

All parameters relevant for per-fusion are set and displayed on the SCP Pump Control Panel. All control and monitoring functions e.g., level/bubble and pressure control used for extracorpore-al perfusion are displayed on the control panel. The integrated con-trol elements are additional safety features to the centrifugal pump. The electrical remote-controlled tubing clamp decreases the risk of air delivery. The pump control panel is fully integrated into the operation and control of the S3/SC System. As is the case with all components of the S3/SC Systems, communication goes via the CAN-BUS. In case of a total power fai-lure, the UPS of the S3/SC System takes over the power supply func-tion.

The flow controlled mode (Auto)Using the flow controlled mode (Auto), the set flow can be adjusted directly by turning the speed cont-rol knob. Due to the automatic ad-justment of the RPM, the set flow is kept at a constant level even if the systemic resistance and/or pres-sure changes during perfusion.

Electrical remote-controlled tubing clamp (optional)In case of alarm (e.g. level/bub-ble alarm or retrograde flow), the arterial line can be occluded in a fraction of a second by the electri-cally operated tubing clamp. The clamp may also be opened and closed manually via the respective keys on the pump control panel.

Low RPM LockoutThe integrated lockout prevents the pump speed from being reduced

unintentionally below the preset limit. Speed below the Low RPM Limit can only be adjusted when disabling the lockout manually by pressing the “low-speed lockout release” key.

Integration into the systemBoth, the mast holder of the pump control panel and the 3-joint mast holder of the SCP drive unit are supplied with fast clamp connec-tors to facilitate mounting to the S3/SC System. You are free to mount the SCP System on the left or right side of the S3/SC System`s vertical masts.

The SCP drive unit is delivered with a 3-joint mast holder with fast clamp connector and can be mounted with a great degree of flexibility.

The Revolution® centrifugal blood pump (CBP) is driven by a magne-tic coupling. The re-taining key at the pump head receptacle locks the Revolution® CBP into place and also acts as a protection against torsion during operation. The SCP drive unit is protected against overheating by a passive ventila- tion system.

The total flow can be measured in-dependently and precisely by the Stöckert Flow Sensor thus ensu-ring an increase in safety during extracorporeal perfusion.

Flow sensors are clipped around the outside of standard PVC- tubing to provide non-invasive flow measurements.

The integrity of non-thrombo- genic surfaces is maintained.

The Stöckert Flow Sensor is in- tended for use with blood and saline solutions.

The emergency drive unit enables you to complete the procedure by means of hand cranking. It is ope-rated by turning the hand crank clockwise. The hand crank turns freely in the opposite direction (anti-clockwise). The correspon-ding pump speed is displayed on the LEDs of the emergency drive unit.

The retaining key at the pump head receptacle locks the Revolu-tion® CBP into place and acts as a protection against torsion during opertion.

The holder with clamping screw facilitates the mounting of the emergency drive unit to the mast system of the S3/SC and SCPC System.

The Revolution® centrifugal blood pump utilizes a rotating, vaned im-peller design to move blood by cen-trifugal force. The pump is inten-ded for use only with the Stöckert SCP System in cardiopulmonary bypass procedures for periods of up to six hours.

The Stöckert Centrifugal Pump Console (SCPC) has been designed according to the latest state-of-the-art technology to fully meet our customers` highly specialized demands.The Stöckert Centrifugal Pump Console (SCPC) combined with the Stöckert Centrifugal Pump System (SCP) comprises an independent centrifugal pump system:

The SCPC can be operated as a stand-alone system.

The SCPC may, of course, be easily integrated into all heart- lung-machines currently pre- sent on the market.

In case of a power failure, the system`s integrated uninterrup- tible power supply (UPS) takes over the entire power supply for a duration of 90 minutes. The battery capacity is displayed both, in percent and as a bar graph display.

All settings, the operation and the configuration of the monito- ring functions can be effected on the SCPC`s touchscreen.

The SCPC System enables you to configure the system accor- ding to your individual require- ments.

All relevant data can be regis- tered and recorded via the Stö- ckert Data Management System (DMS).

The SCPC System features an integrated display of the date and time as well as.

2 independent timers with read- outs in hours/minutes/seconds.

The conceptEase of use and safety in centrifu-gal perfusion technology

The electrical remote-controlled tubing clamp, designed for opera-tion with the SCP System, demons-trates clear evidence for feasible improvements in ease of use and safety of centrifugal perfusion tech- nology.It has been especially developed according to latest state-of-the-art technology taking a high degree of flexibility and ergonomic standards for our users´requirements into consideration.

The result is a concept offering additional protection against air delivery during centrifugal blood pumping.

In case of alarms (e.g. level bub-ble alarm or retrograde flow), the electrical remote-controlled tu-bing clamp occludes the arterial line within fractions of a second thus reducing the danger of air delivery to a minimum.

Furthermore, the clamp can also be opened and closed manually at any time by pressing the respec-tive key at the SCP pump control panel.

SCPC TrolleyThe trolley`s unique design is a milestone in meeting the users` expectations of a flexible and mo-bile cardiopulmonary bypass sys-tem. The SCPC is securely seated in the trolley`s solid, stainless steel con-sole.Four easily steerable casters guar- antee its excellent manoeuvrabi-lity. In addition, the height of the trolley`s push grip can be adjusted as desired to facilitate transporta-tion. For mounting the accesso- ries, the SCPC trolley features a vertical mast and a telescope mast with rotatable infusion rack.The SCP pump control panel and the drive unit, the electrical remo-te-controlled tubing clamp as well as other accessories or dispos- ables may be mounted to the mast system.
