TRANSCRIPT
With the approach of the Summer Holiday period many dancers are looking for dances
or workshops in the areas they are visiting. One way of finding dance events is to con-
sult the master index of dances hosted by Dundee Branch and maintained by Mary Cant.
But if details of events are not sent to Mary the index is incomplete. Not only are dance
event organisers missing opportunities to swell their visitor numbers, but visiting danc-
ers miss out too. Please, please, will event organisers send details of all their events to
[email protected] for insertion in the index at

This edition of the Newsletter lists details of the first two or three programmes in the
main Summer Dance events and this is to start you off. Remember to pick up the full
dance calendars when you attend these venues as I do not have space to list all the pro-
grammes. If your event is not listed in this Newsletter, it is because the details haven’t
been sent to me, or to Mary Cant.
Organisers, please remember to include all relevant details (including telephone num-
bers, price, and dance venue address/postcode). Not all dancers have internet access and
failing to include a phone number prevents them from making enquiries with the organ-
isers. If you do have internet access, the updated Society website is now online at
https://www.rscds.org/ .It's claimed to be more user-friendly than the old site and
easier to find the information you seek. Do you agree?

Westerton Summer Dancing is geared towards experienced dancers who ‘enjoy a challenge’. The
