Recreation Department and one of them is Scott.

This recreation department has its own parks, playgrounds, and fields where they organize summer day camps, Halloween, Christmas party, township sponsored sports programs, special needs youth soccer/baseball programs, teen events, ski/snowboard at mountain creek, sports camps, clinics, classes, bus trips, and

many other events. Scott Luker never leaves a single chance to motivate people from the town and proficiently manages that event to ensure full success. He is actively involved with all the community events and announcements and encourages people to participate.

One of the events that Jefferson Township Recreation Department organized was Challenger Soccer Program for special needs children in 2013. Parents of boys

and girls ages 5 to 18 with physical and mental challenges took part in that. Being

a resident of Jefferson Township, Scott Luker managed this league with the best of his skills. He gave his best in all the fundraising efforts. In 2008, The Jefferson Township Challenger League sponsored a Charity Golf Outing in support of Jefferson Township Challenger sports and recreation for school-aged children with mental or physical disabilities or some type of challenge in their daily lives.

Scott Luker is the founder and coach at The Jefferson Township Challenger League. He and his colleagues left no stone unturned in motivating people to contribute their bit for bringing joy to children’s faces, and to help them escape their disability for a short time and experience the excitement of playing a sport. Being an avid sports lover, he

wants to give the opportunity to every disabled child to excel in sports. However, the municipal budget simply not allows that funding to continue. So, in order to keep these popular programs going and not financially burden the families involved, this charity golf outing was conceived by Jefferson Challenger

Leagues Director Scott Luker, the parent of a child with disabilities.
