What are the specifications for the SPL1000?

The SPL1000 is a C-weighted sound pressure measuring device designed for recreational use. Charge - connect one end of the supplied resistor (three inch wire with brown/blue center band)to the Capacitor's (+) and connect the other end of the resistor to the 12v Battery power wire.Leave the resistor in place for 2 minutes, then remove the resistor completely and connect the

12v Battery power wire directly to the Capacitor's (+) terminal.

What is the proper installation procedure for an aftermarket stereo mounting

sleeve?

An aftermarket stereo is mounted into the factory radio dash opening or dash kit by using theaftermarket stereo's supplied metal sleeve.

The sleeve is metal casing that wraps around half of the aftermarket stereos chassis and hastriangular or squared cut-out along is sides.

The sleeve will first be slid off of the aftermarket stereo using the stereos supplied key tools.Then slide the sleeve into the dash opening or dash kit. The cut-out tabs on the sleeve will thenbe bent outward. This will lock the metal sleeve into the dash opening or dash kit. The stereoshould then be slid into the sleeve and will automatically lock into place.

What is the proper installation procedure for the SLC4 / FAI3A?

Wiring terminalsIf you are installing a (4) channel amp you will tap into (4) pairs of speaker wires. If you are

installing a (2) channel amp you will tap into (2) pairs of speaker wires. In a (2) channel setup youcan use either terminals A1 through A4 or A5 through A8. When using this device as a speakerlevel converter; terminals B1 through B8 will not be used.The black ground wire exiting through the side of the converter is a ground loop wire and willreduce background noise if present and will also remove some music sounds. The ground wiredoes not need to be grounded in order for the converter to operate. Where to spliceA speaker level converter requires that you tap into speaker wire and not signal wire. If thevehicle is factory amplified, the wire located behind the factory radio is actually signal wire andnot speaker wire. In factory amplified vehicles, you will either need to locate the factory amplifierand tap the speaker wire there, or you may tap the speaker wire located behind the speakersthemselves. This product requires at least (2) pairs of speaker wires as input in order to operate.

Also if you are adding an amplifier in order to power subwoofers, you must tap into the factoryspeakers which play bass.

Tuning for best soundIf this product is being used as a high to low converter it will be necessary to adjust the switchlocated on the side to the "line out" position. Finally adjust the (4) small dials labeled "line out gainadjustment" in order to achieve the best quality sound possible. Start by turning the volume ofyour radio/CD player 75% of the way up, then press pause or mute and then begin graduallyraising the line out gain adjustments. If background noise becomes noticeable, turn down the gainlevel as you have passed its optimal level.

What is the proper installation procedure for a stereo wiring adaptor?

Wiring any of our wiring adaptors to a new stereo is done by simply connecting the wires from thenew stereo to the wires from the Scosche adaptor; color to color (red to red and white to white).

Any wires that are left over and do not have a matching pair; will be capped off and not used.

If your new radio fails to turn on, it is then necessary to check all the fuses in the vehicles fusebox. Begin by checking the fuses labeled radio. If these fuses are fine, continue checking the restof the fuses in the fuse box. Fuses in the fuse box that pertain to the vehicles interior cabin willoftentimes pertain to the radio as well.

All current vehicles, equipped with OEM Bluetooth systems are not readily compatible with ourBluetooth products.OEM Bluetooth systems are designed strictly for cell phone use andnotfor music use. OEM

In order to feed music audio into an OEM radio via Bluetooth, it is necessary to use a Bluetoothtransmitter with a compatible Bluetooth receiver along with a (vehicle specific) Auxiliary Inputadaptor.

Heres a brief description of the functions of each product;Our Bluetooth transmitters connect to your iPod/MP3 player and then transmit/send music viaBluetooth to a Bluetooth receiver.

The Bluetooth receiver then receives the Bluetooth music audio and then passes it over to yourOEM radio, through its CD changer/Satellite input (which must be converted into an RCA inputthrough the use of an Auxiliary input adaptor).The Auxiliary Input adaptor serves to convert your OEM radios CD Changer/Satellite input port,into a universal-type RCA input which then connects to your Bluetooth receivers RCA outputs.

Some factory stereos feature a built-in 3.5mm Auxiliary input which will eliminate any need for anAuxiliary input adaptor.

The Ground wire will connect from the amplifiers GND terminal to clean and paint-free metal inthe vehicle. The floor is typically a good grounding location however make sure to sand off anypaint, as paint will inhibit an electrical connection. Using a seat bolt as a grounding point is notrecommended.The Remote Turn-On wire will connect from the amplifiers REM terminal to your in dash stereo.Aftermarket radios will typically feature a Blue/White Remote Turn-On wire. Factory stereos will

not feature a Remote Turn-On wire but will instead feature an Accessory power wire; which willvary in color depending on the make/model of the vehicle.

The Power wire must connect from Batterys (+) terminal to the Amplifier BATT or 12V terminal.An in-line Fuse and Holder must be installed within 12 inches of the batterys (+) terminal. Thepower wire will then run from the Fuse Holder, through the firewall, into the vehicle and finally toyour Amplifier.

RCA cables will connect from the aftermarket Stereos Front or Rear RCA outputs and then toyour Amplifiers RCA Front or Rear inputs. When running the RCA cables from your Stereo to theAmplifier, avoid running the RCA cables next-to or nearby Power wires. Avoid power wires willensure that noise levels are kept to a minimum.
