80-89 Above average to very good. This speaker has clear strengths and some minor weaknesses.

70-79 Average. The speaker has strengths and weaknesses and roughly equal proportions.

60-69 Poor to below average. The speaker has clear problems and some minor strengths.

50-59 Very poor. This speaker has fundamental weaknesses and few, if any, strengths.

Grade Meaning (ANALYTICAL SKILLS)

90-100 Excellent to flawless. Sustain an outstandingly clear and consistent mastery of analytical skills, and sustaining extremely insightful and in-depth analysis of complex ideas, and developing and supporting their main points with logically compelling scrutiny and highly persuasive examples.

80-89 Above average to very good. Sustain an effective, clear and reasonably consistent mastery of analytical skills, and sustaining generally insightful analysis of complex ideas, and developing and supporting their main points with logically sound scrutiny and well- chosen, appropriate examples.

70-79 Average. Sustain a competent, fairly clear and developing mastery of analytical skills. Further sustain a relevant analysis of important ideas, and supporting their main points with acceptable inquiry and sufficient examples.

60-69 Poor to below average. Sustain a weak analysis of important ideas, and addressing relatively unsupported main points with brittle inquiry and insufficient examples.

50-59 Very poor. Sustain a seriously flawed analysis of important ideas, and addressing main points without support or examples. Revealing very little mastery of analytical skills.
