Score CR Items and Enter Scores into Acuity
All constructed-response items must be manually scored and entered into Acuity to appear in your students’ reports
Use the scoring rubrics and exemplars located in the Appendix section of the Assessment Administration Manual or access them in Acuity
There is no deadline to score constructed-response items, but reports will be incomplete until scores are entered into Acuity
Once constructed-response scores are entered into Acuity, online reports will automatically update

Click TESTS on the left-hand navigation menu
Click SCORING AND SCAN PROCESSING
Click MANUALLY SCORE ITEMS

Make the following selections:
ClassSubjectAssessment TypeAssessment
Click SHOW ASSIGNMENTS

Click the Score link in the Score CR Answers column
Select Both from the Scoring List drop-down menu
Click SEARCH

Educators can view the scoring rubrics and exemplars by clicking the Click Here link or use those found in the appendix of the Assessment Administration Manual

Manually Enter Scores from CR Items
For each student, enter a score for each constructed response item by clicking in the appropriate radio button
If a student did not answer, you must choose No Response as the score
Click SUBMIT
If you have more than one page of students in the class for which you need to enter scores, click SUBMIT AND PROCEED TO NEXT PAGE to enter those scores then click SUBMIT

Log into Acuity:
Periodic Assessment Web site: http://schools.nyc.gov/Accountability/ResourcesforEducators/PeriodicAssessments
Click “Acuity”
User Names are DOE Outlook email addresses (e.g., emullins5)
Passwords are 6-digit file numbers
Locate the rubric and exemplars in Acuity
Manually enter students’ scores from CR items
View a report displaying scores from both MC and CR items
