It is much pride that we roll out the 68th Annual Convention of the Philippine College of Radiology. Thanks to the previous Board of Trustees, the PCR is now hosting esteemed speakers and lecturers from the Radiologic Society of North America as part of their International Visiting Professors

I convey my heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the organizers of the Philippine College of Radiology (PCR) as you hold your 68th Annual Convention with the theme: “Women’s and Men’s Imaging”.

The efforts of the PCR to work to towards the goal of advancing the field of radiologythrough one encompassing gathering is truly admirable. The unity displayed by members of your organization speaks of how even in

the most complex of issues in the global health milieu we can discover our respective riches and contribute significantly in creating effective, lasting solutions.

The Philippine Medical Association (PMA) is honored to be part of your distinguished work, and as President, I urge you to continue harnessing, along with your knowledge and capabilities, your diligence and passion in building healing and comforting environs for your patients. As the umbrella organization of all medical organizations in the Philippines, the PMA shares your aspirations for the consummate Filipino medical professional who is equipped with not only the needed wisdom or skills to heal and ease the patient’s malady, but also of a relentless yearning to push the boundaries of science and of oneself.

May this event inspire excellence in all of you, and strengthen your core as an organization that constantly strive for advancement and the highest standards of our profession.

My warmest greetings to the Philippine College of Radiology as you hold your 68th Annual Convention.

Our medical profess ionals form the vanguard of our battle against disease. Each time they gain skills or knowledge on their chosen disciplines, our nation moves closer to reaching its healthcare goals. This is especially true for our licensed radiologists

– the role they play in the timely detection and correct diagnoses of disease makes them integral to our efforts to build a healthy, productive populace.

May you take advantage of the wealth of knowledge and innovation made available through this gathering to help elevate the practice of radiology in the country and secure better medical care for our people. My administration assures you of your government’s continued support of your pursuits, especially those that redound to uplifting the lives of many Filipinos. I thank you for this and for the other initiatives you have undertaken throughout the decades , and hope that you will remain our partners on the Daang Matuwid in the years to come.

Greetings to everyone!

As Chair for this year`s Annual PCR Convention, I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all attendees and assure them that no effort was spared to give them a really good program (Scientific,Fellowship and so on). With regards this, I would have to express my everlasting gratitude to the members of the hard-

working Convention Committee, whose efforts at organizing this affair and commitment to seeing it through to the finish has been a source of inspiration for me! Their names are listed on this same page.

Many thanks too to the local and foreign luminaries who agreed to be our speakers. Special mention, of course, goes to the International Visiting Professorship team of the RSNA, led by Dr. Teresita Angtuaco. Their being part of our Convention is sure to take our learning experience to the next level!
