News*SecondDraftoftheMinnesotaScienceStandardsThefirstdraftofthe2019Sciencestandards,publishedinNovember,receivedarecordnumberofreviews.Theonlinefeedbacksurveyreceived230entrieswith30%ofthemfromgroups.73peopleattendedMDEtownhallmeetingsandtherewere156attendeeatfeedbackmeetingsattheMnSTAconferenceandregionalmeetings.Thankyoutoallwhocompletedthereview.TheScienceStandardsReviewCommitteeisanalyzingthisdataandmakingrevisionsinpreparationforseconddraftwhichwillbepublishedFeb.14.ItwillbeavailableforfeedbackuntilFeb.28.WatchforinformationaboutfeedbackmeetingsandtheonlinesurveyintheFebruaryupdateandontheMDESciencepage.AdditionalinformationaboutthefeedbackandtheplansfortheseconddraftareattheMnSTAScienceStandardspage.ThefinaldraftwillbepublishedinMaywithfullimplementationofthestandardsandanewversionoftheMCAexaminthreeorfouryears.
