IntroductionIn this series we examine 6-on-5 rotations from a 4-2 into a 3-3 and also from a 3-3 into a 4-2.
In the 3-3 the offensive player will slide down from the In the 3-3 the offensive player will slide down from the point to the 2-meter line to create a 4-2. Or the 2-post player (left post) will slide upward into a 3-3.
The guard is caught in a 2-on-1 situation. Whomever he or she guards, leaves a freeman to shoot the ball.
3
IntroductionPlayers need to learn the sequence of events to rotate.
There is a system of how players move in a rotation.
The point drives to the left post and shoots—3-3 to 4-2.
For a 4-2 to 3-3 rotation—6-in, 6-player and 2-player move inside 2-m. 6-in/1-out. 1 rotates up into the pocket (4 meter line). 4-player shifts from above the left post to center cage. Completes rotation from 4-2 into a 3-3.

guards. The offense creates a 2-on-1 situation with one guard, X-4, so the point has a clear shot.
Offensive players 2 and pt. isolate X-4 on one player.
X-4 covers 2.
The 4/point has the open shot and scores.

21 DefenseDefense is in a 2-on-3 situation with two guards defending against three offensive players. Goal: Delay the shot.
Guards split the offense and fill the gaps and stunt.Guards split the offense and fill the gaps and stunt.
Forcing the point to pass the ball to 4, 5 or 2.
Forcing the extra pass kills the advantage of the rotation from the 4-2 into 3-3 that momentarily creates a freeman
at the point.
35
3-3 into 4-2, Point drive & shot3-3 offense has the Point drive down to 3-post for a 4-2.
Motion of the drive frees Point player from the guard.
Ball passed to point at 3-spot for quick shot off the drive.Ball passed to point at 3-spot for quick shot off the drive.
Defense: X-2-middle guard or X-3 right corner guard
can stop the Point Driver to 3.
