Sciatica: Sciatic nerve is the longest and the thickest nerve in the body. It emerges from several spinal nerves, passes under the muscle in the buttocks and extends down each leg. Pain –“especially shooting pain , numbness or tingling anywhere along the Nerve pathwayis called Sciatica. The unusual cause is pressure from a vertebra on one of the spinal nerves that form sciatic nerve. The pain may be worse at night, on sudden moment or after sitting down. As per Chinese Medicine the most common imbalance in acute sciatica is qi, and blood stagnation in the back channels and it’s also important to identify the underlying imbalance which may be causing the qi and blood to stagnant. reflex points-Lumber, Spine, Coccyx, Pelvic/hip, Sciatic area.

Meridian massage works by releasing any extra tension in the Fascia and Connective

tissue around the muscle.

remarkable change in the intensity of pain is seen. Results may vary from person to person

depending on their age and energy level and other associated factors. After ten sessions, if

required weekly sessions are recommended.
