In the blink of an eye, June has nearly ended. Let July bring nothing but positive vibes and great memories.

July is my favourite month! Can anyone guess why? IT’S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH! On 7th July, I will be celebrating turning 20 something and I want you to be involved. This

week I challenge you to plan and organise a special birthday party.

You are going to plan the party with a maximum budget of £30.You are planning the party for 6 children.

You don’t have to spend the whole budget, but you must not be a penny over!

There is a price list below to look at different types of food and drink available.Think about:

- what food and drink you are going to provide;- what quantity of each item you will need (number in a pack);

- whether you are providing a range of food items;- whether you are catering for vegetarians;

- what entertainment you are providing for the guests.

This is an event that will not take place but I am sure you will have lots of fun planning it and I cannot wait to hear what you come up with.

Writing- Design an invitation that can be sent to the

children who are invited to the birthday party. Remember to include the relevant information – time, date etc. An example can be found below but I’m sure you can design a better one.

- Invent a party game to be played at the party. Write instructions and rules for your game.

- Design a birthday card for me and write a special message inside.

Basic Skill – Money Use the price list below to work out which items you will buy for the party with your £30 budget. Remember, you don’t have to spend all the money but you can’t go a penny over!

Who do you think a neighbour is? Talk about friends in school and the people who live in your

neighbourhood. Talk about the differences and similarities. Everyone who lives in God’s wonderful world is your neighbour. CAFOD is an international organization that helps to make life easier for our

global neighbours who are not as well off as we are. They try to make the world a fairer, more just place.

Read the story below about Marie-Doriane.Talk about Marie-Doriane’s life and the similarities between children’s lives here. Think about how and

why Marie-Doriane is our neighbour.

Art – Design a birthday cake. Either use the template below or create your own. Label your design with the flavours you will be using.

DT – Can you make a Piñata for the party using paper mache? There are a few ‘how to...’ videos on YouTube. Have a look at Mrs Grindley’s homemade Piñata she created last week for her son’s birthday. You will find a picture on Twitter of her amazing creation!

Music – Create a playlist for the party including you top 10 favourite party songs.
