1. Der Snap Lock Expander ist gegen unerwünschtes Rück drehen gesi-chert. Nach dem Aktivieren der Spindel (Abb. 1) rastet die Blattfeder (Abb. 2) ein.

2. Bei Aktivierung des Snap Lock Expanders (¼ Drehung) ist das Einrasten der Schraube deutlich spürbar.

3. Das Loch in der Spindel befindet sich immer in einer optimalen Position zur Reaktivierung.

4. Wird die Schraube überaktiviert, kann sie zurück gedreht werden.

1. The Snap Lock Expander does not turn back unless the doctor or patient turns it back. After the activation of the spindle (Fig. 1), the flat spring snaps in (Fig 2).

2. When the Snap Lock Expander is properly activated by 1/4 turn, both the patient and doctor will be able to feel the screw lock.

3. The hole in the spindle is always in the right place for reactivation 4. If overactivated the Snap Lock Expander can be turned back

Bite jumping screw* – für die stufenweise Reduktion des Overjet bei der modifizierten Twin Block Apparatur. Die Twin Block Apparatur von Dr. William Clark ist eine der gängigsten funktionskieferorthopädischen Apparaturen für die Behandlung von Klasse II, Division 1-Malokklusionen. Standard Twin Block Apparaturen können jedoch nur durch ein sehr zeitaufwändiges Arbeitsverfahren wei-ter aktiviert werden.

Eine leichte und sichere Aktivierung am Stuhl von bis zu 6 mm kann er-reicht werden, wenn diese Schraube aus Edelstahl in die Apparatur einge-baut wird. Die Aktivierung am Stuhl reduziert die Unannehmlichkeiten für Patient und Behandler wesentlich.

Diese Modifikation erlaubt eine stufenweise Vorentwicklung des Bisses, mit einem größeren orthopädischen Effekt bei weniger Schneidezahnkippung in Klasse II, Division I-Fällen. Die stufenweise Vorentwicklung des Unterkie-fers hilft, die Dehnung der cranio-mandibulären Muskeln zu verringern, dadurch wird der Patientenkomfort und die Akzeptanz erhöht.

Bite jumping screw* – progressive Overjet Reduction for the modified Twin Block appliance. The Twin Block appliance by Dr. William Clark is one of the most popular functional appliances for Class II, division 1 malocclusion treatment.Standard Twin Block appliances however can only be reactivated by a time consuming procedure.

An easy and safe chair side reactivation of as much as 6 mm can be achieved by incorporating this solid stainless steel screw into the appliance. Chair side reactivations provide minimal inconvenience to staff and patient.

This modification allows a progressive advancement of the bite, providing a greater orthopaedic effect with less incisor tilting in Class II, division 1 cases. Progressive advancement of the mandible helps to reduce tension in the craniomandibular muscles, therefore improving patient comfort and compliance.

Die Frosch II-Apparatur

Bei Klasse-II-Malokklusionen – und manchmal auch bei Non-Extrak-tionsbehandlungen von OK-Engständen – ist das Ziel oftmals die Distalisation der OK-Molaren.

Die Frosch II-Apparatur bietet eine hervorragende Molarendistalisa-tion und körperliche Zahnbewegung ohne Kippungen. Einbau und Aktivierung der Frosch II-Apparatur sind ebenso einfach wie das He-rausnehmen und die Nachjustierung der Feder. Die Apparatur ist von der Frontseite her leicht zu aktivieren, indem man die Schraube im Uhrzeigersinn dreht.

The Frog II Appliance

Distalizing maxillary first molars is often an objective in treatment plans involving Class II malocclusions and it is sometimes indicated for non-extraction treatments with maxillary crowding.

The Frog II appliance offers outstanding molar distalization without crown or root tipping. The assembling and activation of the Frog II is easy. Even the spring is easily removed and adjusted. The appliance is easily activated from the anterior by simply turning the screw clockwise.

Der Easy-Fit® Jumper ist eine festsitzen de Apparatur zur Korrektur von Klasse-II-Anomalien, welche kom-biniert mit einer Standard-Multibandapparatur eingesetzt wird. So ermöglicht das einzigartige Design, der stufenlose Vorschub des Unterkiefers sowie der Verzicht auf Distanzringe eine einfache wie sichere Therapie von Klasse-II-Fehlstellungen. Der Easy-Fit® Jumper wird im Molarenbereich des Oberkiefers sowie im Prämolarenbereich des Unterkiefers direkt an der Multibandapparatur be festigt.

The Easy-Fit® Jumper is a fixed appliance, develo-ped for the correction of Class II discrepancies in combination with a standard bracket arch wire appliance. A unique design, stepless protrusive movement capabilities and no shims increase ease and safety of Class II treatment. This Class II alternative offers numerous advantages compa-red to standard class II appliances. The Easy-Fit® Jumper is attached in the maxilla within the molar area and in the mandibular within the premolar area.
