1950s

● In the 50s they played games in the street that costed little or no money like football and cricket in the street, this was because of the war a few years previous so families had to compensate for this by spending on the necessities like food and water, and not spending as much on expensive games.

1960s

● In the 60s some of the games and puzzles we see today were either invented or started being popular in the time. The first board games to do with war started coming out then aswell because of the war that was being fought. Some games were associated with some cool movies of the time aswell.

1970s

● The 70s came with a boom of electronic games and the basic consoles came out then. Basic games like pong, and space-involved games like lunar lander and asteroids, and other games like breakout, hunt the wumpus, tailgunner and maths games like Mastermind

1980s

● In the 80s electronic games got extremely popular as well as family orientated games like twister, and baby games with plastic like marble games, car games, and playground climb-on games were popular with little children at the time.

1990s

● In the 90s computer games were bigger than they were ever before. There were modern games like Counter Strike and Quake. These influenced more modern games like the ones we see today. These games were made popular because we now had the technology to run these games. So we were utilising this.

● Q. What is the best selling game of all time?● A. The best selling game of all time (as of 2004) is World Of Warcraft.

● Q. What is the best game of all time (not selling)● A. Pacman.

● Q. What changed games from innocent pacman to the games we see today?● A. I think what changed gaming was the invention of the computer/internet. This changed

gaming because now we could handle more than just a face walking around a map eating dots. We could now do 3D.

● Q. How might gaming change in the future?● A. I think gaming will turn more into real life and it will get extremely real.

● Q. When did the transition to electronic style games occur?● A. The most obvious answer of this was when people were poorer, and affected by war.

● Q. Where did people go to have fun?● A. People went outside to have fun, mostly on the street to play sports.
