EVIDENCE OF NEED
• In order to improve Greenwood Forest students’ scores in all subjects, reading levels, fluency, and deficiency in Tier I and Tier II, vocabulary must be addressed. Reading levels and fluency scores, as evidenced by yearly reading benchmarks, are well below grade-level. Assessments and anecdotal observations by teachers of vocabulary deficiencies provide clear evidence of a continued and intensified need for immediate intervention, and a school-wide, common reading focus as we begin the 2014-2015 school year.
