Project Nr 561847-KA2-CBHE 8

Executive Summary

The project Trans2Work relies on a European cooperation and demonstrates strong European added value by bringing together multi-disciplinary excellence from different EU countries. Moreover the project results will have an international impact and will contribute to the improvement of education, spatial knowledge and independent movement of IVIs at a European level. The exploitation of the results of the project Trans2Work is assured and performed by (a) e-learning seminars that will be available for all stakeholders and prospective graduate with disabilities as well as employers starting at month 13, (b) creation of an electronic index of all stakeholders and (c) creation of an accessible data base to be used by national employment agencies, enterprises and HEIs as main results after the completion of the project. The exploitation plan draws guidelines and methodologies integrating a holistic Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) policy. Moreover, an active promotion strategy, at a National, International and European level, is defined in order to upgrade and prepare HEIs services to support SwD to their transition from HE to Work following the EU policies. Finally, the exploitation plan elaborated by the Trans2Work project presents the strategies identified for optimal exploitation of the project output aiming to achieve the maximum impact for sustainability of the project results according to the need of the target groups and relevant audiences.

1. Introduction

1. 1 Project description

The Trans2Work project is designed as a complementary project with “Equal Access

for All -Strengthening the Social Dimension for a Stronger European Higher

Education Area” (EquiED http://www.equied.ni.ac.rs/en/) in SR and “Support and

Inclusion of SwDs at Higher Education in Montenegro” (SINC@HE

http://sinche.uom.gr/) in ME and “Equal Opportunities for Students With Special

Needs in Higher Education” (EQOPP http://www.eqopp.ba/) in BiH. It is mainly

based on the assumption that SwD often experience limited access to and success

within postsecondary and higher education programs which subsequently limits their

employment. All three partner countries are following the general rules concerning

the inclusion of SwD at HEIs and have some good basis for supporting them after

graduation.

All three partner countries have done a lot towards individuals with disability on legislation level. I.e. ratified UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and adopted laws such as the Law on Prevention of Discrimination Against PwD both providing framework for right to education and employment/work for PwDs. Almost all universities at partner countries have carreer centers and for those that have not the already established centers for students with disability from aforementioned projects can be included during the implementation of the Trans2Work project. The associations of individuals with disability and the employment agencies in three partner countries are actively involved in supporting IwD to find an appropriate job and some, i.e. in Serbia, developed programs for employment of IwD and specialized services both for IwD and for employers. During the last decade, European Union policies have been concerned with linking HE in the context of today’s rapid socio-economic transformations raise questions on the issue of the link between HE and the world of work at regional, national and local levels as well. Linking HE and training with employment is also problematic in the EU countries and therefore high on the potitical agenda all over Europe. Aim of the project is to improve the quality and relevance of school to work transition of HE SwD in Serbia and Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Main objectives are to:

upgrade and prepare HEIs services to support SwD to their transition from HE

to Work following the EU policies;

link Higher Education to “disability friendly work environments, (c) assimilate

transition opportunities and skills with EU practices and policie;

to prepare employers on understanding the needs of employees with

disabilities in order to offer new jobs.

2. Exploitation plan

The main goal of the present Plan of Exploitation is to establish suitable actions to make Trans2Work a successful and sustainable project. Generally, it is based on the communication and dissemination strategy elaborated by the University of Donja Gorica (UDG), University of Macedonia (UOM) and University of Maribor (UM) adopting the most appropriate dissemination tools and channels elaborated so far in order to exploit the results achieved during the project implementation. Additionally, the deliverable provides an overview of the designed dissemination materials to exploit the accomplished results and outlines the exploitable components.

2.1 Responsibilities

The University of Donja Gorica (UDG), as a EXP8 leader, will be responsible for the elaboration and implementation of the Trans2Work exploitation plan. Nevertheless, all project partners have to contribute to further develop that deliverable and implement all relative actions.

2.2 Exploitation objectives

The exploitation plan draws a specific strategy that is enhancing the sustainability and transferability of project results during the final stage and after the completion of the project. Therefore the exploitation strategy for Trans2Work project presented will be deployed trying to answer central questions such as:

Which will be the project results?

What kind of needs does the project respond to?

Who are the final or potential users or beneficiaries of the project’s outcomes?

What are the most efficient means of maximizing exploitation and ensuring sustainability?

The Exploitation Plan presented illustrates the overall approach to exploitation of the results of the project with the overall goal to achieve the maximum impact for sustainability of the project results according to the needs of the target groups and relevant audiences. Particularly it provides specific guidelines on the following:

Methodologies of cooperation with relevant bodies and organizations from the

very beginning of the project.

The categorization of all project outputs according to their nature (products,

policy lessons, experience European cooperation);

Measures of mainstreaming project results into national educational systems;

Implementation strategies towards the different target users;

Definition of target groups and means of reaching those target groups through

training events, network clustering, funding opportunities, scientific publishing;

Page 21: School-to-Work Transition for Higher education students ...trans2work.eu/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/EXP8.1-Exploitation-plan... · College of Computer Science and Business Communication

Project Nr 561847-KA2-CBHE 21

Scheduling of major exploitation activities and reporting of partner affiliations

and synergies with other projects.

2.3 Definition of the target groups Dissemination and exploitation of project’s outcomes and results are considered as key actions for the successful completion of the project. The main target groups of the project will be:

Individuals with disabilities;

Enterprises offering work to individuals with disabilities;

Governmental organizations and policy makers for education and training of

SwDs;

Academic community (Universities, Schools, Rehabilitation Institutes).

3. Dissemination and Exploitation strategy

From project start an Internal dissemination and an Internal Exploitation Plan report will be conducted with participation and contribution of all Partners. The Dissemination plan will specifically define How, Where and When the produced informational material and project outcomes will be disseminated to end users, stake holders and related authorities in EU. From project start an Internal dissemination Plan and an Internal Exploitation Plan will be delivered with participation and contribution of all Partners. The Exploitation plan will draw a specific strategy that will enhance the sustainability and transferability of project results during the final stage and after the completion of the project. Dissemination activities:

Creation of dissemination material Project logo, Flyers, Posters for project

visual identity and marketing purposes.

Creation of project website where visitors will be able to register in order to

receive newsletter and RSS feeds, with produced electronic material (reports,

studies, results, tools, multimedia, informational material) freely available.

Electronic Newsletters distributed every 6 months with project news, outputs at

that point, resume of available reports, agenda of events and articles on

specific topics.

Project Nr 561847-KA2-CBHE 22

Planned seminars/ workshops to all partner countries aiming at raising

awareness. The informational sessions will act as word of mouth marketing,

spreading the word at SwD, employers, academic staff etc., transferring

project’s outcomes and improved practices and realizing multiplication of

results.

In order to disseminate results outside partner countries, one 1-day e-Learning

seminar is planned, targeting SwDs and employers to raise awareness on the

project’s outcomes within all partner and EU countries. E-Learning session will

be open to everyone and class invitations will be sent to all identified indexed

organisations related, announcements will be included in newsletters and

uploaded to websites.

Exploitation Activities:

Creation of an electronic index of all related organizations and enterprises.

Communication of the results of the project and informational material to all

interested parties and stakeholders included in the electronic index of

organizations asking them to disseminate information through their

communication channels.

Update state bodies responsible for policy planning of education and training

programs for students/ individuals with disabilities.

The project website will be running during whole project duration and for at

least 3 years after project completion so that target audiences can access its

content, learn from it and use it as a reference point for future work.

The electronic platform (platform) will be running at least 3 years after the

project ends, and it is envisaged to be improved in the frames of future

projects.

3.1 Indexing the users & exploitation of the partners’ network Trans2Work partners will identify specific organizations and individuals in all three WB countries belonging to the target groups. On the basis of this research, a database will be elaborated containing contacts information of the relevant organizations and individuals. The identification of key users will allow partners to transfer project results more easily and carry out more focused exploitation activities. This will increase the probability that the project results are applied by the target group beyond the project and will be done in connection with the dissemination activities.

Participating institutions, end-users and stakeholders will be reached during the life of the project firstly through the consortiums’ network of contacts, their websites and mailing lists and secondly through the produced electronic index of all related end-users and stakeholders from the three partner countries. The main target group addressed by the project is wide group of current and prospective graduates with disability and employers from private and public sector.

3.1.1 Strategy for user identification

According to project work plan an electronic index of all related organizations (end-user Associations for with Disabilities, related Governmental Organizations such as Employment Agencies from all three countries) will be created in order to provide categorized and easy access to their contacts details for communication purposes and future contact. The electronic index Deliverable EXP8.2 will be used in all project communication and exploitation purposes. For this reason Electronic index will be created at the internal project collaboration space (login required) where all project partners can register the identified stakeholders of their individual networks.

6. Sustainability of the project results - strategy

The Trans2Work project will lead to the creation of an accessible data base, which will be designed to specifically accommodate the needs of individuals with disabilities and their employment. Employers will identify positions that are open and available for individuals with disabilities. Simultaneously, they will also complete a structured form which will state the qualifications that an individual with disability should have to be hired in this position.

In addition, individuals with disability will enter the web portal and their training needs will be identified and will be matched with available employment opportunities. Thus the portal will aid in the planning of training programs for individuals with disabilities in each of the target countries. The portal will make a significant contribution towards the identification of skills needed by individual with disability to achieve gain employment and will increase their social and employment mobility. Due to the content of the project some associations from neighbour countries might be interested on getting involved but also employers or employers associations can show interest on the objectives. This is why the project has aslo involved in the consortium private HEIs, a company and UNION2000. The associated partner eMPIRICA as a private college will follow the activities of the project and disseminate them in their city. Private sector that will like to have more a social character can be interested i.e. companies that are familiar with special equipment such as wheelchairs and of course they will be interested in offering different kind of special equipment. The link between the private and public sector in the region will assure the impact of the project to the wide society.
