i. Faculty salary policy approved with opt out options with unitsii. UW Tacoma would have to decide to opt out or opt iniii. Changes happening now and will come to faculty before end of the quarteriv. Policy puts a tier system by rank in placev. It is important to read and vote appropriately as it effects all ranksvi. Info sessions will be set up
b. Faculty Assembly ECi. B Kalikoff draft of document of teaching and promotion of tenure cases was
reviewed. The response of concerns of faculty of color and women of color of how evaluation scores are used will revisit on May 20th
ii. Student of concern: adding another faculty member to represent faculty andstudent needs
iii. A proposal was reviewed to put strengthening diversity at new orientation of allnew faculty of inclusive teaching. It was suggested to have it open to any faculty members.
iv. Vote reminders for bylaws revision changesv. EC will need a replacement for winter quarter (E. Moore will be on sabbatical)
c. SIAS Faculty Councili. SIAS Faculty Council worked on the following:
1. Request to look at tenure & promotion policy of summary by deandiscussion. A small subcommittee to look at this and report back.
