Jogathon

Congratulations to all students, parents, pets and others who participated in the Jogathon last Friday. The weather conditions were great with mostly overcast skies, no wind and about 20 degrees – yes perfect! A big thank you to the Parents’ Club for their work at the ‘Fruit/Water’ station and to all of the volunteers that marshalled at checkpoints around the course.

Kinder – Prep Transition

This week we had another transition activity to welcome the children coming from pre-school. These visits are to help familiarise the children with their new environment and with the staff.

Staff Opinion Survey

Each year the students, parents and staff have to complete surveys as part of the school accountability process. The data from the student and parent surveys showed strong results and this week the staff survey results arrived

and it also indicated very strong data. We as a school always look to improve but the ‘results of all three surveys’ are confirming what we all think - Creswick Primary is a great school. We aim to continuously improve.

Extra-Curricular Grade 5/6 Clubs

This Friday is the start of the next Club rotation in the Grade 5/6 Clubs program. The children will now under-take one of the following activities for the next three weeks: Brass Band, Cooking, Woodwork, Lawn Bowls, Photography, Multi-sports and Cycling. To facilitate the range of activities, the school relies heavily on the generosity of many volunteers.

CFA

Thank you to Phil Greenback, Arthur Taylor and Ernie Robertson who have visited the school on behalf of the Country Fire Authority to help teach children how to be fire safe. Being Fire Safe is a necessary skill to have in both the country and the city and we thank the CFA for their support.
