PAC MEETINGS & AGM IN JUNE

The next PAC meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 10th at 6:30 PM in the

library. Please note the June PAC meeting & AGM will be on Thursday, June 14th at 6:30 PM. MUSQUEAM FIRST NATION For the past few weeks the majority of classes at the school have been learning about the Musqueam First Nation. Students have been using the interactive kit of resources including maps, stories, community interviews, short films and contemporary belongings from this Aboriginal community's perspective. The Aboriginal perspectives and critical thinking practices are a major component of the new British Columbia curriculum. The activities and learning experiences are connected to the 'big ideas' in the re-designed curriculum. Thank you to Mr. Gibson, our teacher librarian, for

coordinating this learning opportunity and supporting classroom teachers as students incorporate First Nations principles and perspectives in their learning.
