Section B:Running Our Business
1. Here is a summary of what we did to run our business (including activities carried out to launch the business, if we started a different one this year):
A number of ideas were planned after multiple brain storming sessions. We created an action plan chart which included time scales, staff and student
responsibilities for each task. We created specific teams to carry out the required tasks. Also we made sure
everyone had their own copies of the plan. In order to keep a record of our production process, we created a stock list so we
could keep a track of how much material we had. In order to implement the plan we created a resource analysis to check what
equipment was available at school and if there was any other equipment we needed to borrow or purchase.
We also designed innovative samples of the product. We started production as per schedule. Our Operations Team (Kareena, Harleen, Janvi, Paras, Shivam, Laksh) are
responsible for keeping the stock list and the accounts up to date on a daily basis.
Students purchased simple piggy banks made of clay from the market and they creatively painted those piggy banks. They drew beautiful cartoons on them. After making attractive designs students sold them with a good profit margin.
Students had also purchased Earthen Lamps. They painted them and gave an attractive look to be sold. We also sold readymade T-shirts, leggings to our students on Annual Sports Meet
and Annual Function. These materials were purchased from whole sale market. Students accompanied
the teachers to such market places.
2. Here is a description of the different departments we worked in and how often we all rotated roles:
We have various departments Marketing department to promote sale and works on strategies how to maximise profits and sales.Sales Department has assigned the duty of selling and fixing the profit margin.Accounts Department is responsible for maintaining accounts in the account register, Sales department has assigned the duty of selling the products.

3. a) Here is an explanation of how we formed our Business Management Committee:
After number of deliberations we formed our Business Management Committee. Different roles are assigned to different members. Lead student selected some responsible students to make them a part of this Business Managing Committee. They planned the various activities like painting and designing. Brainstorming on upcoming school events where stalls can be placed.

4. Here is an explanation of what we decided to spend our profits on and how we came to that decision:
The profit we got from our Business we decided to spend it for further material and innovative ideas. We also spend some profit on various activities in school like diya making competitions. All the members decided on this decision after number of Meetings. The refreshments to all the students were given on Annual Sports Day from Bussiness Profit. Educational toys were purchased for early program and certain business margin was used for teacher training workshops in school. We, the Business Management Committee, confirm that we agreed democratically how the profits would be spent. Signed by Business Management Committee:

Section E: Sustainability &Business Development
6. Our business is sustainable and has a positive impact on the environment and our community because: We encourage parents, students and teachers for saving the money by using Eco friendly Piggy banks made up of mud. We encourage Teachers, Students and Parents to use Eco friendly Dias instead of using artificial lights on Diwali ( The festival of lights). Most of the Parents , Teachers and Students purchased Eco friendly Lamps and enlightened their houses with them. Instead of wasting the money, the students used piggy banks to save their savings. There is no lose of using these earthen lamps and piggy banks for the community. we encourage students not to burn crackers and enlightened their homes with Earthen Lamps.
7. Our school business has definite potential to carry on running sustainably for at least the next year. Here is our clear and realistic action plan for how we will continue to run it next year:

We also planned to use waste pieces of clothes to make mobile cases and slang bags. we will conduct different seminars to aware the community and students about the hazardous
effects of crackers. We will collect unused pieces of clothes from teachers and students to make beautiful kits and
bags.
