Contemplation Schoenstatt Scotland On the 4th April The School of Christian Meditation goes live at Schoenstatt. It begins with a Half-Day Retreat. 10:30 - 13:00 and costs £12:50. The price includes all beverages and materials, and a sandwich lunch at the close of the retreat. The retreat is for everyone wishing to learn about meditation, and its focus is in the technique of using a mantra. You do not have to have ever meditated previously to come and benefit from the retreat. It is extremely easy to learn, all you require is the will to do the meditation twice a day. It is based on John Main’s technique, one known and used around the world today. Fr. John Main, OSB. While Headmaster of St. Anselm’s Abbey in Washington, DC in 1969, began a new study of the origins of his own Christian monastic tradition. In the conferences of John Cassian and the teachings of the Desert Fathers and Mothers, he found the Christian expression of the same way of meditation he had absorbed while an English diplomat in Malaya. Identifying the teaching and the vital need for it, he worked to foster this ecumenical practice for the modern world. We hope to welcome you to the launch of the School on the 4th April. Places must be booked in advance. The telephone number is above right beside the small logo. Numbers are limited. No1 T: 01360 312 718 Schoenstatt Scotland Press Launch 4th April 2017
