A DOG’S LIFE PERRY FERRINI DOG PARK

POO FREE PARKS!

The Dog-On-Leash program has been expanded to allow for dogs

on leashes to walk on all of the trails that are part of the

Schererville Park system. Owners are encouraged to use the pet

waste dispenser stations at all trail locations to ensure that

Schererville Parks remain “Poo-Free.”

Dear Schererville Residents,

After 3 years of fundraising by the Schererville Parks Foundation, Inc. the beautiful Perry Ferrini Dog Park is finally complete. It is

now time to focus on our future, so we are very excited to share a unique opportunity with you!

The Schererville Parks Foundation, Inc. is partnering with the Crown Point Community Foundation in the GIFT VI Challenge

Match. Through this partnership, your contribution to the Schererville Parks Foundation, Inc. Endowment fund will help

us create a new funding source as we move forward to future projects and needs.

Endowment funds are important to an organization because endowment funds provide an ongoing annual source of income to

the Foundation.

An investment that provides a source of revenue forever!

Our endowment fund will be administered under the watchful eye of the Crown Point Community Foundation. The Foundation

has been in existence for 23 years and has a proven track record in prudent management of invested funds.

Through this Gift VI challenge Match, the Crown Point Community Foundation is encouraging agency endowment funds by

offering a match for charitable contributions. Gifts to the Schererville Parks Foundation, will be matched $.50 on the $1. The

deadline for this match is December 31, 2014 or until the matching funds are expended. Our target amount is $50,000 so that

we can receive the maximum match funds of $25,000. A lofty goal, I know, but with your help we can, and will make it.

For more information please contact Director of Fund Development, Karen Smolin-Aldrich at 219-756-5213. Please consider

helping us create an endowment fund during this match challenge.

Sincerely,

Karen Smolin-Aldrich Director of Fund Development If you would like to participate in the Challenge Match to create the Schererville Park Foundation, Inc. Endowment Fund held by the Crown Point Community Foundation and have your gift be matched $.50 on the $1. Please make your check payable to: Schererville Parks Foundation, Inc. for the endowment fund held by the Crown Point Community Foundation and send to:

Schererville Parks Foundation Karen Smolin-Aldrich, Director of Fund Development

PO Box 232 Schererville, IN 46375

On occasion late signups have caused cancellation of some programs and trips. Please note that many of our programs and trips fill quickly and a late signup could also mean missing out on the trip or program.

NO REFUNDS will be given after the first program meeting. Programs will be cancelled if the minimum class numbers are not met (full refunds will be given). NO REFUNDS will be given for a trip unless a replacement is found. All refunds will be processed with a signed claim and may take up to 6 weeks. No cash refunds are permitted.
