WHO'S WHO IN THE CAST

JUDI MERRIAM (Maria) has appeared in several SLOC productions,including Oklahoma, The Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof and was featured asJosephine in last season's H.M.S. Pinafore.

RICHARD J. HARTE (Georg von Trapp) has been involved in more than 100local and community theatre productions over the past 27 years. He firstappeared on SLOC's stage in 1964 in Bye Bye Birdie and was seen as CaptainHook in last season's Peter Pan.

GAIL OSBORNE (Mother Abbess) has had principal and supporting roles withthe Capital Aritists Resident Opera Co., the Associate Artists Opera Co. of NewEngland and the Syracuse Symphony Opera Co.

JOE PHILLIPS (Max Detweiler) has appeared in SLOC's Kiss Me, Kate,Fiddler on the Roof, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum andwas last seen in SLOC's 60th Anniversary Concert.

GAIL GARRISON (Baroness Elsa Schraeder) is a SLOC veteran, havingappeared in both the 50th and 60th Anniversary Concerts and such productionsas Oliver, Annie, A Little Night Music, Applause, and Candide.

JANICE CHIARELLA (Sister Margaretta) is appearing in her first SLOCproduction. A Music teacher, Janice has performed in productions of theCoxsackie Council of the Arts.

CAROLYN WILLIAMS (Sister Sophia) was last seen in SLOC's Hello, Dolly!and has also performed with ESIPA, the Plaza Players and the Charleston LightOpera guild of West Virginia.

ANN CASEY (Sister Berthe) is a graduate of Albany Law School and apracticing attorney in the Capital District. She has performed in SLOC's Fiddleron the Roof and 60th Anniversary Concert.

MELISSA MASON (Lies!) was a featured dancer in SLOC's The Music Man

and Hello Dolly!, and was Tiger Lily in Peter Pan.

JAY VANDERWERKEN (Rolf) is in his first SLOC show. He has appeared inproductions of the Schoharie Schools where he is a student.

SCOTT FRIESEN (Friedrlch) is a 7th grade student appearing in his first SLOCproduction. Scott is a member of "Variety Pack" and as such has performedlocally and in New York City.

TRACY MALCZYK (Brigitta) is a 6th grader at Schalmont Middle Schoolandin her first SLOC show. She has performed in school productions.

RUTHIE STROSBERG (Marta) is quickly becoming a SLOC veteran, havingappeared in Annie and Wizard of Oz.

TRACY SEARLE (Gretl) a second grader at Jefferson School is making herSLOC debut. She is a member of the Rotterdam Boys Club swim team.

DEWEY F. HILL (Herr Zeiler) is also a SLOC newcomer. He teaches English atPhilip Livingston Middle School, Albany.

JUDY GORDON (Frau Schmidt) is appearing with SLOC for the first time,having performed previously in theater in Vermont.

PAUL KIMBALL (Franz) was in SLOC's Promises, Promises and has beenseen in various community theatre productions.

TED PECK (Director) is making his directorial debut for SLOC withthis show. He appeared in several SLOC shows, recently in H.M.S.Pinafore and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Ted

DONNA C. PANZL (Choreographer) studied dance for 20 years and hasperformed in such SLOC shows as Pippin, Mame, Fiorello, Hello,Dolly!, West Side Story and Music Man. She choreographed Little MarySunshine and appeard as Chava in last season's Fiddler on the Roof.

SUE CULVER (Rehearsal Secretary/Prompter) has served in manycapacities for SLOC including co-producer of "Who —#2." Sue alsoperformed in Oklahoma and Kiss Me, Kate.

LINDA NOWOSIELSKI (Technical Director) is a SLOC Boardmember and served as producer of Little Mary Sunshine and A FunnyThing Happened on the Way to the Forum. She will produce JacquesBrel in May.

SLOC SALUTES

Among the active members of SLOC who can claim longevity as behind the

scenes heroes, JEAN and VARRO CLARKE have to be at the top of the list.Varro has stage managed the majority of shows produced in the last 20 years.Jean has been ticket chairman for countless shows, most recently the 60thAnniversary Concert, The Best of Times.

Working in tandem they have produced a large number of our recentsuccesses, and each has served as a member of the board of directors. Keeping it

all in the family, sons Jack and Scott were seen both on and off stage in manyshows during their growing-up years.
