RULES & REGULATIONS1 The Show will open at 7.30 a.m.2 Dogs will be received until 11.30 a.m. and after which no dogs may be received except under exceptional and unforeseen

circumstances and by any special permission of the Show Management. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to ensure thattheir exhibits are available for judging when required.

3 The proposed order of judging will be available, following the final closing of entries, on the Society and Higham Press websites and will subsequently be announced in the canine press and sent out with passes to those exhibitors making postalentries. Breed judging and the judging of Junior Handing Association (JHA) classes will commence at 9.00 a.m. unlessotherwise advised in the information sent out with passes and/or published on the Society’s web site or in the canine press.

4 a. Exhibits may be removed from the show after their judging has been completed.b. Exhibits may not be removed any earlier unless by written order of the Veterinary Surgeon, Veterinary Practitioner or of

the Show Management and then only in very exceptional and unforeseen circumstances which must be reported to theKennel Club.

c. The Show will close half an hour after all judging has been completed at which time all dogs must be removed.5 Entry Fees: All fees include VAT (VAT Reg GB 212 0398 07). All 1st entry fees include benching fee. The following 1st

entry fees are applicable to entries made on or before Monday 16th July 2018 - Breeds with CCs on offer, Veteran &Champion Stakes Classes - £28.00. Breeds without CCs on offer, AV Not Classified, AV Import Register Breeds, YKCMembers Stakes and KC Breeders’ Competition - £15.00. Not For Competition (NFC) - £13.50 (including benching fee). Thefollowing 1st entry fees are applicable to entries made online after midnight on Monday 16th July 2018 - Breeds withCCs on offer, Veteran & Champion Stakes Classes - £30.00. Breeds without CCs on offer, AV Not Classified, AV ImportRegister Breeds, YKC Members Stakes and KC Breeders’ Competition - £17.00. Not For Competition (NFC) - £15.50(including benching fee). Subsequent entries with the same dog - £5.00. Group catalogues (prepaid only) £6.00. Daycatalogues (prepaid only) £8.00. Unclaimed catalogues may be offered for re-sale at the show but only from 11.00 a.m.onwards on the relevant day. Exhibitors wishing to claim a refund for any unclaimed catalogues must submit writtenapplication, enclosing the unused voucher(s) to the Treasurer after the show. All paid up members of the Society will be senta Members’ Car Park Pass by post together with a copy of the show schedule during June 2018. Car parking facilities forexhibitors who are not members of the Society will be provided at a cost of £6.00 per vehicle if paid at the time of makingentries. Exhibitors arriving at the show without either a Members’ or a prepaid Exhibitors’ Car Park Pass will be directed to thePublic Car Park on payment of a fee of £10.00 per vehicle. Members of the public will be admitted to the show free of chargebut a fee of £10.00 per vehicle will be levied for use of the designated Public Car Parking Area. Prepaid caravans/motorhomes £50.00 (prepaid with entry fees) or, subject to availability of space, £60.00 on arrival at the show. No entries will beaccepted unless accompanied by the correct fees. ENTRY FEES ONCE RECEIVED CAN ONLY BE REFUNDED ONPRODUCTION OF VETERINARY AND/OR MEDICAL CERTIFICATES RECEIVED PRIOR TO THE SHOW ANDSUPPORTING SUCH CLAIMS. In the event of cancellation or abandonment of the show claims for refunds will be passed tothe Society’s insurers. Cheques, to be drawn on a UK bank only, should be made payable to “Richmond Dog Show Society”.Entries may be made online at www.dog.biz.

6 There will be no prize money in Breed Classes. Prize money, where paid, is detailed under the relevant Stakes Classes.7 The Committee reserves to itself the right to refuse entries.8 Puppies under six calendar months of age on the first day of the Show are not eligible for exhibition, i.e. exhibits must be

born prior to 7th March 2018.9 The mating of bitches within the precincts of the Show is forbidden.

10 Best Puppy in ShowThe Best Puppy in Show is a puppy which has competed and has been declared, Best Puppy in Breed, Best Any VarietyNot Classified Puppy or Best Any Variety Imported Register Puppy. A puppy is a dog of six and not exceeding twelvecalendar months of age on the first day of the show. Where the Best of Breed, Best of Group or Best in Show is a puppy itshould automatically be awarded Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show respectively.Similarly, if the Reserve Best of Breed, Reserve Best of Group or Reserve Best in Show is a puppy which has only beenbeaten by an adult dog it should also automatically be Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Showrespectively. Consequently, selection of Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show must followthe selection of Best of Breed, Best of Group and Best in Show respectively.(1) Best Puppy in Breed.

A Best Puppy must be declared in each breed from puppies entered in the breed classes.A Best Puppy must be declared from the Any Variety Not Separately classified class(es).A Best Puppy must be declared from the Any Variety Imported Breed Register class(es).

(2) Best Puppy in Group.Best Puppy in Group and subsequent puppy group placings must be selected from:(a) Those puppies declared Best Puppy in Breed.(b) The puppy declared Best Puppy from the Any Variety Not Separately Classified classes in each group or on each

day.(c) The puppy declared Best Puppy from the Any Variety Imported Breed Register classes in each group or on each

day.(3) Best Puppy in Show.

Best Puppy in Show must be selected from the Best Puppy in Group winners.11 Best in Show

The dog declared Best in Show is a dog which has competed and has been declared Best of Breed, Best Any Variety NotSeparately Classified or Best Any Variety Imported Breed Register.a. Shows Judged on the Group System

(1) Best of BreedWhere a breed is separately classified a Best of Breed may be declared but only from those dogs which havereceived a first prize in a breed class at the show. Where separate classes are provided for each sex of a breed aBest of each Sex must be declared.NOTE:The Best of Breed/Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified/Best Any Variety Imported Breed Registeraward relevant to a Category 3 Breed will not be confirmed until the dog has passed an examination by the Generaland Group Championship Show Veterinary Surgeon.

(2) Best of GroupBest of Group and subsequent Group placings must be selected from:-(a) The Best of Breed winners in each group(b) The dog declared Best from Any Variety Not Separately Classified classes in each Group or on each day.(c) The dog declared Best from Any Variety Imported Breed Register class or classes in each Group or on each

day.NOTE: The dog declared Best of Breed/Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified/ Best Any Variety ImportedBreed Register from a breed designated by the Kennel Club as a Category 3 Breed is not eligible to compete in theGroup competition unless it has passed an examination by the Show’s Veterinary Surgeon. If the dog fails to passthe examination it is ineligible to compete in the relevant Group.

(3) Best in ShowBest in Show must be selected from the Best of Group winners. Reserve Best in Show must be selected from theremaining Group winners following the selection of Best in Show.

12 Exhibits will not be admitted to Group or Best in Show competition after a period of ten minutes has elapsed since theannouncement that exhibits are required for judging, unless they have been unavoidably delayed by previous judging notbeing completed on time, and then only with the special permission of the Show Management.

13 Exhibitors must not pick up dogs by their tails and leads when lifting them nor handle a dog in a manner which causes itsfeet not to touch the ground when on the move. This is not acceptable. Exhibitors should note that such practice wouldconstitute harsh handling and reports of such practice will be referred to the Committee under Kennel Club ShowRegulation F11.

14 All exhibitors must be familiar with Kennel Club Regulation F (Annex B): Regulations for the Preparation of Dogs forExhibition.

15 All dogs resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete number before entry to the showcan be made. All overseas entries without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor/competitor.

16 Dogs in Vehicles on Hot Days: Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonablesteps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any action,default, omission or otherwise. Breach of the Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the Board fordisciplinary action under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations• When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route,

and leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams.• If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all.• The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available

to drink.• Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog.• When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle.• Keep the dog in the shade — take your own shade, for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water

available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated.• Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time.Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results.Please look after your dog’s welfare.WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK, FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARYWITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED.

17 Not For Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and mustbe Kennel Club registered.

18 No modifications will be made to this schedule except by permission of the Board of the Kennel Club, which will be followedby advertisement in the Canine Press wherever possible.

19 The Show will be held under Kennel Club Limited Rules and Show Regulations. All exhibitors shall be deemed to haveagreed to abide by the Kennel Club Limited Rules and Show Regulations.

20 Best Veteran in Show: The Best Veteran in Show is a veteran which has competed and is unbeaten by any other veteranexhibited at the same show. A veteran is a dog which is aged no less than 7 years on the first day of the show, i.e. born onor before 7th March 2011.(1) Best Veteran in Breed.

Best Veteran in Breed will be selected from all unbeaten veterans from any breed classes provided they are not beatenby any other veteran.

(2) Best Veteran in Group.Best Veteran in Group and subsequent veteran group placings must be selected from:(a)Those veterans declared Best Veteran in Breed.(b)The Best Veteran from the Any Variety Not Separately Classified classes in each group or on each day.(c)The Best Veteran from the Any Variety Imported Breed Register classes in each group or on each day.

(3) Best Veteran in Show.Best Veteran in Show must be selected from the Best Veteran in Group winners.

21 Entries must be posted on or before Monday 16th July 2018 (postmark). HOWEVER, entries may be made online up to12 noon on Wednesday 25th July 2018 at www.dog.biz. Exhibitors should note that the discounted entry fees (£28 forfirst entries for breeds with CCs on offer and Veteran/Champion stakes classes and £15 for first entries for breeds withoutCCs on offer, AVNSC, AV Import Register classes and £13.50 for dogs entered not for competition (NFC) offered forentries made online on or before 16th July are NOT applicable from 17th July onwards when the respective first entry feeswill be £30 for breeds with CCs on offer and Veteran/Champion stakes classes and £17 for breeds without CCs on offer,AVNSC, AV Import Register classes and £15.50 for dogs entered not for competition (NFC).

22 Entries will not be acknowledged unless accompanied by a stamped addressed postcard. The only proof of postingacceptable to the Kennel Club is the certificate of posting, recorded delivery or registered post.

23 Exhibitors will receive a free, non-transferable pass for each dog entered, but in the case of a partnership entering only onedog, an additional pass will be provided.

24 Should any of the judges be prevented from fulfilling their engagement the Committee reserve to itself the right ofappointing other judges to fulfil their duties. Exhibitors are at liberty to withdraw from competition but no entry fees can berefunded.

25 The Committee is empowered to exclude or remove any dog that is not in a fit state for exhibition owing to disease, savagedisposition or any other cause and all fees shall be forfeited.

26 Exhibitors are responsible for any damage done by their dogs whilst present at the show.27 No part of the infrastructure of the show (including benches and tents) may be altered in any way except by authorized

personnel.28 The Committee will not be responsible for the loss or damage to a dog or dogs or any property whether arising from

accident or any other cause nor for any act of omission of itself, its officers, servants or others and it is on thisunderstanding only that entries are accepted.

29 The Committee can accept no responsibility for products advertised or sold at the show.30 All Rules and Regulations or definitions and instructions of the nature of rules and regulations, printed for convenience in

other parts of this Schedule, shall be deemed to be regulations of the Committee and shall have the same effect as if theyformed part of these Regulations. Should any question arise not provided for in these Regulations the decision of theCommittee shall be final subject only to appeal to the Kennel Club.

DEFINITIONS OF CLASSES(Vide Kennel Club Regulations for Definitions of Classes)

PUPPIES UNDER SIX CALENDAR MONTHS OF AGE ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE SHOW ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR EXHIBITIONN.B.—The word ‘’dog’’ includes both sexes

In the following definitions, a Challenge Certificate includes any Show award that counts towards the title of Champion under theRules of any governing body recognised by the Kennel Club.

Wins at Championship Shows in breed classes where Challenge Certificates are not on offer shall be counted as wins at OpenShows.

In the case of a dog owned in partnership and entered in Members’ classes or competing for Members’ Specials each partnermust at the time of entry be a member of the Society.

In estimating the number of awards won, all wins up to and including the seventh day before the date of closing of postal entriesshall be counted when entering for any class i.e. 9th July 2018.

Wins in Variety classes do not count for entry in Breed classes but when entering in Variety classes, wins in both Breed andVariety classes must be counted. A first prize does not include a Special Prize of whatever value.

If an exhibitor reports before the judging of a class or classes that a dog has been entered which is ineligible, the exhibitor maychoose one of the following options:-

WithdrawalThe dog may be withdrawn from competition subject to the conditions of Regulations 9(j) and 20.Transfer(a) If a dog is ineligible for a class or classes as regards its breed, colour, sex, weight or height, the Show Secretary shall transfer

it to the equivalent class or classes for the correct breed colour, sex, weight or height and, in the event of there being noequivalent class, Minor Puppy and Puppy excepted to the Open class for the correct breed colour, sex, weight or height.

(b) For an exhibit entered incorrectly in a Minor Puppy Class, Puppy Class or Junior Class, which is over age but under 12calendar months of age, 18 calendar months of age or 24 calendar months of age respectively, the Show Secretary shalltransfer the exhibit to the Puppy Class, Junior Class or Yearling Class respectively for the correct breed, colour, sex, weightor height and in the event of there being no Puppy, Junior or Yearling Class, to the Open Class for the correct breed, colour,sex, weight or height.

(c) For any reason other than the above, the Show Secretary shall transfer it to the Open Class for the correct breed, colour, sex,weight or height.

(d) If an exhibit arrives late and misses a class, even if it is the only class in which the dog is entered, the dog may not betransferred to any other class.

With these provisos the following are the definitions of certain classes—SPECIAL NOTE TO EXHIBITORS—Please pay particular attention to all age Classes. Age must be calculated as from the FIRST DAY

of the Show.MINOR PUPPY—For dogs of six and not exceeding nine calendar months of age on the first day of the Show.PUPPY—For dogs of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the Show.JUNIOR—For dogs of six and not exceeding eighteen calendar months of age on the first day of the Show.YEARLING—For dogs of twelve and not exceeding twenty four calendar months of age on the first day of the show.GRADUATE—For dogs which have not won a Challenge Certificate or four or more First Prizes at Championship Shows in Graduate,

Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit and Open Classes, whether restricted or not, where Challenge Certificates were offeredfor the breed.

POST GRADUATE—For dogs which have not won a Challenge Certificate or five or more First Prizes at Championship Shows in PostGraduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit and Open Classes, whether restricted or not, where Challenge Certificates were offered forthe breed.

MID LIMIT—For dogs which have not become Show Champions under Kennel Club Regulations or under the rules of any governingbody recognised by the Kennel Club, or won 3 or more CACIB/CAC/Green Stars or won five or more First Prizes in all atChampionship Shows in Mid Limit, Limit or Open Classes, confined to the breed, whether restricted or not, at shows whereChallenge Certificates were offered for the Breed.

LIMIT—For dogs which have not become show Champions under Kennel Club Regulations or under the rules of any governing bodyrecognised by the Kennel Club, or won 3 or more CACIB/CAC/Green Stars or won 7 or more First Prizes in all at ChampionshipShows in Limit or Open Classes, confined to the breed, whether restricted or not, at Shows where Challenge Certificates wereoffered for the breed.

OPEN—For all dogs of the breeds or varieties for which the class is provided and eligible for entry at the Show.VETERAN—For dogs of not less than seven years of age on the first day of the Show.SPECIAL BEGINNERS—For owner, handler or exhibit not having won a Challenge Certificate or Reserve Challenge Certificate, or for

those breeds not allocated Championship Status, Best of Sex or Reserve Best of Sex at a Championship Show.CHAMPION—For dogs which have been confirmed a Champion or Show Champion under Kennel Club Regulations or under any

governing body recognised by the Kennel Club.

NOT FOR COMPETITION—Societies may at their discretion, accept Not for Competition entries. Societies may accept such entries frombreeds of dog not included within the title of the Society and at Shows held over more than one day, such entries may be acceptedon any day from any breed. Regulation F.1.c: Only dogs of six calendar months of age and over on the first day of the show areeligible for exhibition at Kennel Club Licensed shows. However, Societies may accept Not for Competition entries at their discretionand dogs aged four calendar months of age and over are eligible to enter Not for Competition at all Kennel Club licensed shows.

ANY VARIETY NOT SEPARATELY CLASSIFIED—For breeds of dog for which no separate breed classes are scheduled.IMPORTED BREED REGISTER—For breeds confined to the Imported Breeds Register and only when an Interim Breed Standard has

been published by the Kennel Club. Such breeds may be exhibited in this class only, with the winning dog being eligible for Best inGroup / Best Puppy in Group or Best in Show / Best Puppy in Show as relevant.

KENNEL CLUB GOOD CITIZEN DOG SCHEME—For dogs that have received their GCDS Bronze Award Certificate or above.YKC STAKES—Only dogs of six (6) calendar months of age and over on the day of competition are eligible for entry into a YKC

The first placedmember only in each dog group at the qualifying show will qualify for Crufts. A rosette will be awarded. If a member is disqualified,the qualification does not roll down to the next placing. All pedigree dogs are eligible to take part provided the dog is registered onthe Kennel Club Breed Register. The dog must be registered a) solely or jointly in the member’s name or b) in the name of a closemember of the family (i.e. a group of people related by blood or by marriage) and under these circumstances the dog must beresident at the YKC member’s address. No substitute handlers are permitted — the dog must be handled by the registered YKCmember. Members are not permitted to allow another individual to show their dog at the qualifier on their behalf if they are not able toattend the class, unless agreed by the YKC Office prior to the show. Members must be aged 6 - 24 years (members 6 years and upto, but not including 25th birthday). Please note that membership of the YKC terminates on a member’s 25th birthday. Therefore if amember is aged 25 years or over by the first day of Crufts they will be unable to compete in any YKC class. Please keep this in mindwhen entering qualifiers throughout the competing year. In order to enter any YKC competition you must be a fully paid up memberat the time of entry and competition. If you enter a Crufts qualifier and you have not previously paid your membership fee then any awardwill be forfeited Therefore it is important to renew and maintain YKC membership as current if you wish to participate in YKC competitions.

KC SPECIAL BEGINNERS COMPETITION—Special Beginners classes are scheduled for each breed plus the AV Not SeparatelyClassified and AV Imported Breed Register classes in each group on each day of the show. The Best Special Beginner selectedfrom the winners of these classes for each breed and the AV Not Separately Classified and AV Imported Breed Register classes willgo forward to the competition for Best Special Beginner in Group on each day of the show. The Kennel Club will provide sponsorshipin the form of Rosettes 1st - 4th for each group together with prize money of £100 for each group to be awarded as follows: 1st Prize£40; 2nd Prize £30; 3rd Prize £20; 4th Prize £10. There is no need for the winners of the Special Beginners Groups to return on thefinal day of the show.

KENNEL CLUB BREEDERS’ COMPETITION—Each team will consist of a minimum of three and maximum of four dogs of one breed,all bred by the same breeder or breeding partnership. The breeder enters the class and then arranges which dogs are exhibited onthe day of the show. Please clearly state the name and affix of the registered breeder(s). Entries will not be taken on the day of theshow. Teams will be awarded points/prize money in the KC Breeders’ Competition as follows: Points 1st; 30; 2nd 15; 3rd 10; 4th 5.Prize Money 1st Non ABS Prize Fund £20; ABS Prize Fund £25. Please note that Assured Breeders will be credited with a higherprize value. These points will be recorded in the Kennel Club Breeders Competition record book through the year. The minimumqualification for the Crufts final will be 50 points, with a maximum of 40 finalists including the winning teams from the European andWorld Dog Shows’ breeders competition. Our Dogs will collate the points and publish a leader board through the year.

REGULATIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF DOGS FOR EXHIBITION F (B)1 These Regulations must be observed when a dog is prepared for exhibition and/or exhibited at any Kennel Club

Licensed event. Objections may be referred to the General Committee for disciplinary action under these ShowRegulations and/or for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rule A42.(a) A dog found to have been exhibited in breach of these Regulations will automatically be disqualified from exhibition

at the show and from any award gained thereat.(b) Unless the exhibitor provides a satisfactory explanation for the dog being exhibited in breach of these Regulations

then he/she may be subject to further penalties of either a fine or as listed under Rule 42.2 (a) No substance which alters the natural colour, texture or body of the coat may be present in the dog’s coat for any

purpose at any time during the Show. No substance which alters the natural colour of any external part of the dogmay be present on the dog for any purpose at any time during the Show.

(b) Any other substance (other than water) which may be used in the preparation of a dog for exhibition must not beallowed to remain in the coat or on any other part of the dog at the time of exhibition.

3 No act or operation which alters the natural conformation of a dog or any part thereof may be performed except:(a) Operations certified to the satisfaction of the General Committee.(b) The removal of dewclaws of any breed.(c) Operations to prevent breeding, provided that such operations are notified to the Kennel Club before neutered dogs

are shown.Nor must anything be done calculated to in the opinion of the General Committee to deceive.

4 The General Committee without previous notice may order an examination of any dog or dogs at any Show. Anyexamination thus ordered will be made by a person having executive authority who shall have a written directive from theKennel Club in their possession. Samples may be taken for further examination and analysis.

5 An individual has the right to lodge an objection to a dog only if he/she is the owner or handler of a dog competing in thesame breed or class, an objection may, however, be lodged by an official of the Show or by anyone so deputed by theKennel Club. It will be the responsibility of the individual who lodges the objection or the official (as appropriate) tosubstantiate the grounds for the objection. The Kennel Club will substantiate the grounds for an objection made on its behalf.

6 Any objection by an individual related to an infringement of these Regulations must be made in writing to the ShowSecretary at his/her office before the close of the Show and the individual must produce evidence of identity at the timeof lodging the complaint.

Exhibitors wishing to pre-order catalogues may do soprovided the appropriate fee, £6.00 per group catalogue and £8.00 per day catalogue, isreceived at the time of making postal or online entries.Members who are not exhibiting at the show but who may wish to order a catalogue forcollection on arrival at the show may do so by using the entry form enclosed with their copy ofthe show schedule provided it is forwarded with the appropriate fee to the Secretary no laterthan 21 days prior to the show.A free information leaflet including details of the show layout and times of judging etc. will beavailable to members of the public on arrival at the show and information otherwise onlyavailable from the show catalogue can be obtained on enquiry at the help centre located in theshow administration area.Exhibitors wishing to claim refunds for uncollected catalogues may do so in writing, enclosingthe unused voucher(s) to the Treasurer after the show.

VISITORS Visitors to the show are admitted free of charge. Adults accompanied by children and/orminors are requested to ensure that reasonable standards of adult supervision and control aremaintained whilst within the precincts of the show.

SPEED LIMIT All officials, exhibitors, visitors, trade stand holders and contractors, are requested to drivewith due care and attention at all times and to observe a maximum speed limit of 5 MPH whilstusing the caravan and car parks and the avenue leading to and from the public highway intoand out of the show ground.

CAR PARKING All car parks will be clearly signposted at the entrance to the show ground.Members: All paid up Members of the Society will be sent a Members’ Car Pass, entitlingthem to park their vehicle free of charge in the designated parking area, by post during June2016. Please note that only one such pass is provided per membership.Exhibitors: Exhibitors who pre-pay the fee of £6.00 per vehicle at the time of making entrieswill receive a car park label with their show passes. There will be two exhibitor car parks inoperation so it is essential that exhibitors display their car park label in a prominent and easilyvisible position to ensure they are directed to their designated parking area.Visitors: Members of the public arriving at the show in their own vehicles will be directed tothe public car park where a parking fee of £10 per vehicle will be applicable.Members and exhibitors who arrive at the show without their pre-issued car park labelswill be directed to the public car park and required to pay a parking charge of £10 pervehicle but will be entitled to claim a refund at the Treasurer’s Office on production ofsupporting identification and documentation.

DISABLEDPERSONS

Car parking facilities for the disabled will be provided. Only vehicles displaying an officialgovernment issued disabled drivers’ permit will be allowed to use this facility.Assistance for disabled persons to gain access to the show ground will be provided at themain entrance to the show. Toilets for the disabled will be available on the show ground.

CARAVANS,MOTORHOMES& TENTS

A Caravan Park will be provided but without hook-up utilities. Caravans may be parked in thisarea at a cost of £50 (prepaid) or £60 if paid on arrival subject to availability. As space islimited, we strongly advise pre-payment. Payment covers the period of the show or any partthereof. Access to the site is available from noon on the Wednesday prior to and until noon onthe Monday following the show. The Society’s appointed Warden will control the site. Carvanlabels will be provided with entry passes and MUST be displayed at all times.

DOGS LEFT INVEHICLES

The Committee reserves the right to refuse the entries for future shows from exhibitors foundto have left dogs in vehicles in a distressed condition. Remedial action will be taken ifnecessary. All such occurrences will be reported to the Kennel Club.

UNENTERED DOGS WE WILL NOT BE PROVIDING A TENT FOR UNENTERED DOGS AT THE SHOW. Dogsaged six months and over may be entered as NOT FOR COMPETITION (at a cost to include abench of £13.50 per dog if entered on or before 16th July or £15.50 per dog if entered from17th July until the final closing of entries). This will enable your dog to be benched alongsideyour entered dogs. Alternatively, un entered dogs aged 4 months or over may be brought tothe Show on the day and admitted as a SPECTATOR DOG (at a cost of £5 per dog with noprovision for benching). Upon arrival at the Show you will need to complete the necessaryKennel Club form, giving an undertaking that you will keep your dog under control at all times.

PHOTOGRAPHY &VIDEO RIGHTS

The Organisers would like to bring the regulation on photography and filming to theattention of exhibitors, trade stand holders, press and visitors.It is a condition of all those attending the event that no filming or other form of recording maybe taken or made without express written permission of the Organisers. The taking ofphotographs in the show venue for sale or reward is strictly prohibited except with the writtenpermission of the Organisers. Press accredited photographers are provided with permission totake photographs ONLY for use in newspapers, magazines and internet-sites for newspurposes only. There is no objection to the general public taking photographs of general viewsof the Show, provided that these are for private use. Specific dogs may be photographed onlywith the approval of the exhibitor. No photography or filming is permitted in breed judging ringswhilst judging is actually taking place. However, judges may allow it to happen at the end ofclasses or after the Challenge Certificate is awarded. Filming and flash photography is allowedfrom outside the rings at all times unless the operation of the camera is actually affectingexhibits. However, if a powerful flash unit is used or it is clear that exhibits are being affected, aring steward or the judge is empowered to stop the person concerned.

CATERINGARRANGEMENTS

Refreshments, including hot food and beverages, will be available for purchase from a varietyof mobile catering units. A meal service will be offered in the catering tent between 11.30 a.m.and 3.30 p.m. and a public bar facility will be available from 11.00 a.m. daily.

MEMBERS,OVERSEASVISITORS

Tea, coffee and soft drinks are available in the Members’ and Overseas Visitors’ Loungesituated in the Administration Block. Members may invite guests but we reserve the right tonumbers. There will be traffic signs to guide cars to the venue and the correct car park.The venue is situated on the B3000, near the village of Compton, approximately 3 miles eastof the A3 (Postal Code: GU3 1HY). The B3000 can be accessed from the A3 when travellingeither north or south. If travelling via the A31 (Hog’s Back) take the B3000 turn-off prior to the A3,as there is no right turn from the A31 onto the A3. Please refer to maps provided in the schedule.

Entries will not be taken at the show. Dogs must be entered in their breed or variety class. The name and age of theJunior Handler must be given in the box provided on the entry form together with the class number. Those handlersplaced first, second and third will be eligible to compete in the relevant semi-final heats to be held later in thecorresponding year.Class 2243 FOR HANDLERS OF 6 TO 11 YEARS OF AGEClass 2244 FOR HANDLERS OF 12 TO 16 YEARS OF AGEPrize cards will not be awarded but JHA diplomas will be awarded to those handlers who are placed first, second or thirdin each class.
