Construction of 69kv powerline (3-6 miles) and access road construction (3 miles).
Plumas National Forest in partnership with the Freather River CRM proposes to restore. 25 miles of streamchannel along McReynolds and less than .1 mile of channel along Red Clover. Restoration will be accomplishedusing the pond and plug technique.

The proposal is to relocate Forest Service Road 28N03 to a stable location. A landslide blocked access andindicates that the existing road location is on an unstable slope. To prevent further erosion, the existing road willbe decommissioned.
The project involves utilizing prescribed fire (underburning) to remove understory reproduction gowth and excessdead/down fuel loading with 850 acres of a 1996 fuel treatment.
Issue a mineral material contract to authorize use of National Forest System lands to remove approximately 4,000cubic yards of unstable rock material.
Hand thinning, piling, and pile burning of surface and ladder fuelsand fuel abatement along the North Valley Roadand power line. Project encompasses about 71 acres. Trees to be thinned would be less than 6" in diameter.
