History

Completed in 2004 by owners Jerry and Linda Neal, after 6 years of planning and construction, Linbrook Hall contains over 60 rooms covering approximately 32,000 square feet of livable space. it is among the largest homes in the southeastern United States. Designed in the Classical Revival style, Linbrook Hall contains architectural features found in many 18th and early 19th century homes. The architectural proportions of the house are based on work completed by Andrea Palladio during the italian Renaissance, and the home was designed to demonstrate the beauty and timelessness of classical architecture.

Surrounded by approximately 400 acres in northwestern Randolph County, Linbrook Hall is located on a hill in close proximity to the tracts of land once owned by Mr. Neal’s ancestors. The house is named for Linda Neal and the brook running at the base of the hill upon which the home sits. Linbrook Hall represents Linda and Jerry Neal’s love of classical architecture, a commitment to their personal charities, and their strong connection to the area that has been home to Mr. Neal’s family for nearly 250 years. We invite you to experience the beauty of the house, its treasured antiques, and its extensive grounds.

During a guided tour of Linbrook Hall, visitors have the opportunity to view many of the main living areas in the house, including the formal living and dining rooms, the library, the kitchen, several bedrooms, and the guest sitting room. Guided tours are intimate and informative; visitors will learn about significant antiques and important architectural features of the house. Weather permitting, guests will also be guided on a tour of the grounds.
