A world-first, the new Supalite Side Door was developed from an understanding of how rail cargo is moved as well as the loading and unloading challenges involved with various product types. The Supalite is the newest innovation in containers for the transport of cargo and freight. The innovative element is the lightweight side doors that open up to allow side cargo loading, improving the security and safety while dramatically reducing ongoing maintenance costs. While the lightweight design results in potential increased payloads and fuel savings, it also meets all applicable Australian Standards. The Supalite won the 2011 Australian Business Award for Innovation.

Our in-house engineers have also developed a stronger pneumatic tank, fully accredited and uniquely suited to Australian conditions.

We also offer the Asset Watch product, which for just a few extra cents a day, allows you to keep track of where your containers are, whether the doors have been opened or closed and whether the container has been moved.

AssetWatchWhen you need to keep track of your assets, AssetWatch GPS locator acts as your eyes and ears. If you have assets in remote locations, AssetWatch can help you keep an eye on them – with optional notifications of container doors being opened or closed, or be informed when a container is moved.

Supalite Side DoorThe Supalite is the newest innovation in side access container equipment. The innovative element is the rigid polymer side door. This improves the security and safety of the contents, making it more secure than the curtain side containers currently in use. It is also significantly lighter than the current models, delivering fuel savings. The decreased repairs and maintenance costs also greatly improve the viability of the unit, which also meets all applicable Australian Standards.

AkoraTM and KaringalTM Portable BuildingsThe objective here is to provide customers with quality living solutions regardless of where the units may be located. These award-winning* units are specially manufactured in a container frame to provide strength and stability. Even better, they are designed for transportation by standard means (trailer, sideloader, truck), which means they can be taken virtually anywhere.

These units come in ten standard designs, ranging from a 20' basic unit (AkoraTM) with doors and windows to a fully fitted out 40' unit (KaringalTM) with full bathroom and kitchen facilities. Additionally, all models can be customised to include items such as air conditioners, electrical appliances and furniture. Units can also be custom designed and manufactured in case standard layouts do not meet customer requirements.

Certified to Cyclone Rating 4, the units are wind, water and weatherproof thus providing a highly secure means of temporary accommodation.

SCF Group is at the forefront of the specialty tank leasing market. Our experienced in-house design and development team ensures that SCF is always at the leading edge, delivering products that are built for the Australian market and operating conditions.

SCF carries the largest range of ISO tank containers of any supplier, for every product that can be containerised for intermodal transport. From our range of acid tanks, through to petro chemical and food grade ISO tanks, as well as for every liquid that requires transport, SCF has a solution.

Our ISO Gen 4 powder tanks are can carry granulised cargos from Cement, Fly Ash, Lime and minerals such and even specialities such as benzenite.

Current Tank Products Acid Tanks Compliant with all Australian ADG7 requirements, these units have been designed specifically to carry hazardous cargos.

Haz Chem Tanks Available in all sizes from 17,500 litre through to 26,000 litre, with stock in all states of Australia, SCF offers the largest variety of units and coverage in the Australian market. Units are available under short or long term contracts and can be supplied ex-depot or delivered to site.

Smart Baffled Tanks SCF has an in-house design for a baffled tank. This allows customers to use a 26,000 litre tank for smaller cargos, removing the ullaged issues that affect a large part of the industry.

Pneumatic Tanks Designed by SCF in Australia and released in 2012, the Australian Certified Pneumatic tank is fully compliant with AS 1210 and Worksafe. The design has been completely overhauled in 2012 and is currently at the forefront of the industry.

Frac Tanks We offer speciality storage tanks in 250 Barrel (40,000 litre) and 500 Barrel (80,000 litre) sizes for the gas and energy sectors. These units are available in skid mounted or trailer mounted versions.

Dissolver Tanks These tanks are specifically built to carry Sodium Cyanide in its solid state and then to be dissolved at site. These units are fully compliant with ADG7 IMDG and the ICMI. SCF is the only leasing company in the world currently providing this logistic solution.

Built to Perform

Design and Project ManagementSCF does far more than provide containers – we also design and project manage container manufacture.

SCF Group in-house engineers can prepare detailed drawings and specifications for repair and modification work, as well as certification and sign off on repairs.

The SCF project planning system is based on a Sequence of Events (SOE). This is input to a project timeline chart to indicate critical paths and timing of all aspects of the project.

Although the containers are assembled in China, all fixtures and fittings are sourced in Australia and supplied by SCF to the factory in China. We ensure compliance with Australian specifications, standards and codes.

Having these engineering design and project management skills in house means that we can work with customers to develop tailor-made container solutions.

Depot CapabilitySCF Group operates a depot network spanning Australia’s major cities, allowing us to manage our fleet network effectively, as well as offering invaluable customer sales and service support at a local level. This extensive network also allows us to continually explore ways to improve transport and logistics efficiencies.

Our depot staff are accredited in a variety of welding expertise from mild steel through to aluminium

and copper. All repairs are carried out or under the supervision of qualified boiler makers or welders.

Our forklift operators are licensed and have had further hazard awareness and working at heights training.

Controlled Repairs & MaintenanceSCF’s container tracking system (CTS) monitors repairs of individual containers by customer, as well as breaking down the costs associated with off-hire repairs by container by customer. This means that it takes less time to repair and return containers, which allows us to deliver real cost savings to our customers. We also offer Damaged Protection Plan for equipment supplied to our customers.

We also have dedicated account managers for our corporate customers, so they always have a “go to” person for any questions, contract review or problems.

SCF’s National Operations Centre oversees the process of repairing containers, to ensure that both parties agree all actions.

QualityThe quality process is vital in ensuring our products meet the stringent quality requirements of SCF Group and its customers. Our SCF Preferred Supplier system also ensures that our suppliers and contractors have the capability to provide the best possible quality products and service.

SCF Group containers are designed in Australia and constructed in China. All standard shipping containers are ISO certified and manufactured under effective quality control measures, to ensure that all materials and parts meet international standards.

SCF Group has several Quality Control personnel in China, including our Senior SQE Manager, who is permanently based in China and dedicated to working with the key Chinese suppliers. It is their job to inspect SCF products throughout the manufacturing process. SCF also appoints independent testing companies to make sure that all testing complies with relevant standards before full compliance certificates are issued. Hennicon International Containers Survey Co. Ltd is one of SCF’s independent testing companies and provides SCF with daily reports to the production engineer.

SCF Group believes that excellence in management is integral to being a successful business. We manage and control activities according to ISO: AS/NZ and legislation.
