my father is a driver, and spending many holidays as

a kid in the cab of his truck, i learned to love this

profession where you’re often alone but also free.

i’m mostly interested in trucks and high-performance

engines and i especially love driving and listening to

the hum of my truck. that’s what keeps me going, ten

years on. Driving a high-quality truck is important to me.

i dream of restoring my favourite trucks and modifying

them, for example a Scania 143 with 450 horsepower

and an aerodynamic cab with large vents up front, or a

Scania t topline 144 with 530 horsepower, coated with

metallic paint and clear varnish, with a luxurious and

stylish interior. in my spare time, i enjoy looking for nice trucks

on the internet. i also work a lot in my garden – it’s

good to spend time outdoors after so many hours behind

the wheel.

my mother says that driving trucks is like a drug for

me. When i was little, i used to sit behind the wheel of

a parked truck and pretend i was driving off somewhere.

i had already made up my mind then. Now i’ve been driving

professionally for five years and my goal is to t ake

over the family trucking business.

my love of the road and of trucking is the foundation

of all of this, but being a business woman as well is an

exciting challenge. i’d like to become as successful

as my parents. to achieve that, the business will have

to keep developing and i’ll have to be good at managing

more than 30 drivers. Working hard, keeping a cool head and knowing what

i want will also be important. A great deal happens

every day, and i’ll have to be able to make decisions

on the spot. if i achieve my goal, perhaps my children will take

over the company in the future. that would make me

very proud.
