Scan to Salesforce End User Guide

1. Download Scan to Salesforce to your phoneCheck the mobile app invitation in your Salesforce Chatter and install the iOS app from the App Store

and the Android app from Google Play.

2. Scan business cardsThe app goes straight to the scanning screen when you open it. Place up to 4 cards on a flat surface.

It’s best if the background is a contrasting color. Tap the blue shutter button to start scanning.

*You can also upload the sample card.

3. Upload business card data to SalesforceThe app will automatically transcribe business card. Click on the “Upload to Salesforce” button if it looks

right. You can also tap a card to confirm the details and edit the information if needed. You can also

attach an image file of the reverse side of a card using “Attach Image”.

To complete the upload, you need to login to Salesforce. You may need to enter the custom domain of

your Salesforce organization instead of “login” before “my.salesforce.com”.

Once you’ve done this the data will be uploaded.

4. Find business cards in SalesforceCheck on your uploaded business cards by accessing the Scan to Salesforce tab in the Salesforce App

Launcher (nine dots on top left corner). It’s an object similar to Leads or Contacts.

5. Transfer business cards to Leads (or Contacts)In the tab, you will see the uploaded business card(s) and data. You can transfer these to Leads (or

Contacts if your organization allows) from here by clicking on “Transfer to Leads” or “Transfer all cards

to Leads”.
