SBC TYPE "X" STUFFING BOXES

All Type "X" Stuffing Boxes require Skinner Type "8" packing. This type packing has almost four times more life than a ring type packing,and is readily adjustable for the size. All SBe Stuffing Boxes have a bronze type bushing, and the bushing and the rubber packing arethe only parts necessary to change from one rod size to another. All threads are lathe cut between centers so the thread is parallel andconcentric with the bore of the stuffing box. SBe Stuffing Boxes are available for rod sizes 1-1/8, 1-1/4, 1-3/8. 1-1/2 and 1-3/4, and haveworking pressures of 1500 PSI. When ordering Type "X" Stuffing Boxes please state size and thread, and polished rod size.

sac TYPE "X" SINGLESBe Type "X" Single Packed Stuffing Boxes are designed for useon wells which do not require secondary packing, or they may beused in conjunction with a blowout preventer when it is necessaryto change the packing under pressure. These Single PackedStuffing Boxes are made with 2", 2 %" and 3" lower connections.

sac TYPE "X" CROSS ITWINsse Twin Packed Stuffing Boxes were designed for use where pressureconditions require the use of both sets of packing agaihst the polished rodto insure against leaking, or where packing has to b~ replaced on wellswhile under pressure. The top set of packing when e~tirelY used up, canbe replaced while the bottom set of packing is holding back the wellpressure. After the new set of packing in the top has been put in place the.bottorn set of packing is then released until further needed.
