IllinoisWho is EDGE Illinois?EDGE Illinois is a grass roots movement started by a parent volunteer in North Palos District 117 to bring awareness to SB16. There are acknowledged “wrinkles” in the current proposed changes that disproportionately affect Middle Class communities.
We have been performing extensive data analysis using data from the ISBE and the U.S. Census Bureau to find what the “breaks” are in the proposed formula. The results of our analysis have been given to the Senate that sponsored the bill and to the Illinois State Board of Education.
We need your help getting a bigger VOICE so that the information we provided will be looked at before the Illinois House of Representative’s votes on SB16.
