The first step in mounting the extension table is to install the adjustment bracket included in the T-Glide Table HardwarePack.Removetheadjustmentbracket,twoM6x18socketcapscrews,andtwoM6lockwashersfromtheT-GlideTableHardwarePack,andplacea lockwasheroneachscrew.Oneendoftheextensiontable includestwoholesandtheadjustmentbrackethastwocorrespondingholes.Positiontheadjustmentbracketagainsttheinsideedgeoftheextensiontable,aligntheholes,andthreadthescrewsintotheholes(seeFig.7).Tightenthescrewswitha5mmhexkey.
The instructions for installing the extension table and the fence (steps 7-22) are the same for both the Professional Cabinet Saw and the Contractor Saw.

Installing Your T-Glide Fence System8. Locate the two leg support brackets. Remove
the two M8 x 20 countersunk socket headboltsfromtheT-GlideTableHardwarePackalong with two M8 washers, two M8 lockwashersand twoM8hexnuts.MountonelegsupportbrackettotheundersideofeachoftherailsasshowninFig.8a.Handtightenthenuts;donotfullytightenthem.
Oncemounted, thebracketsshouldcreatea shelf as shown in the close-up view ofFig.8bbelow.
9. Placetheextensiontablebetweentherailsandslideittowardstheextensionwing(seeFig.9).Becarefulwhenpositioningtheextensiontablebecauseitisnotyetsecuredtotherailsandcouldfall.Youwillneedtotiltthe extension table slightly for the adjustment bracket to fit under the extension wing. The adjustment bracket includesascrewthatextendsupwardandtheundersideoftheextensionwingincludesaholetoreceivethescrew. Fit the screw into the hole, and then turn the screw until the extension table is roughly flush with the extensionwing.Theoppositeendoftheextensiontablewillrestuponthelegsupportbracketsbutwillnotbelevelbecausethelegsupportbracketsareatdifferentelevationsandarenotintendedtosupporttheextensiontableonceitisfullyinstalled.

11. Locate the two support legs and remove the two feet
fromtheT-GlideTableHardwarePackalongwithtwoM8hexnuts.ThreadanM8hexnutontothethreadedshaftofeachfootsothatthenutisclosetotherubberbase,andthenthreadthefootintothebottomofthesupportlegasfaraspossible(seeFig.11).

If the fencedoes not clamp tightlyenoughtoholditspositionagainstamoderateamountofforce,youcanincreasetheclampingpressurebyturningbothparallelismadjustmentscrewsclockwiseusinga5mmhexkey.Thosescrewsarelocatedintheverticalportionofthefencecross-bracket(seeFig.20).Alternatively,iftoomuchforceisrequiredtopushthefencehandledowntoclampthefencetothefronttube,youcanreducetheclampingpressurebyturningbothparallelismadjustmentscrewscounter-clockwise.
19. Theholesinthebottomofthefrontrailareoversizedtoallowyoutoadjustthepositionofthetubeontherail.To set the tube in the correct position, first pull the front tube away from the table as far as possible. Next, place yourfencedownonthetubeneartheleftend(seeFig.19).

Next,movethefencetotherightendofthetube,repeattheaboveprocesstopositionthetube,andtightentheright-mostscrew(seeFig.22).Oncebothendsofthetubeareadjustedcorrectly,tightentheremainingM8x16hexheadboltstomountthefronttubetothefrontrail.Thefenceshouldnowslidesmoothlyalongthefronttubewithoutbindingandwithoutexcessiveplay.
21. Oncethefenceistightlyclampedtothefronttube,move the left end of the tube back toward thesawuntilthereisonlyasmallgap(approximately1/16 inch)betweenthefrontrailandtherearofthefence(seeFig.21).Tightentheleft-mostM8x16hexheadboltthatholdsthetubetothefrontrailusinga13mmwrench.

Although the fence is factory-adjusted to nominal settings, it is usually necessary to make final adjustments onceyourrailsandextensiontablehavebeeninstalledonthesaw.

Ifnecessary,youcanadjustthepositionof the indicator lenses on the front ofthefence.Toverifythepositionofeachindicator lens, clamp the fence to thefront tube and use a ruler to measurethedistancefromthebladetothefenceplateandcompareittothemeasurementshown on the proper indicator lens. Ifadjustmentisnecessary,loosenthetwoPhillips screws shown in Fig. 24 andslidetheindicatorlenstotherightorleftuntilthecursorisdirectlyoverthecorrectmeasurement. Tighten the screws tolockthepositionoftheindicatorlens.

Adjusting Your T-Glide Fence SystemThenextstep is toalign thefaceplatesto be parallel to the miter slots. Beginbyslidingthefencealongthefront tubeuntil the left face plate is flush with the right edge of the right miter slot. Lock the fencehandleandcheckthatthefaceplateis flush with the miter slot edge along itswhole length (seeFig.25). Youcancheck this either visually or by runningyour finger along the face plate and miter slot edge. If there is any misalignment,you can correct it by turning one of thetwoparallelismadjustmentscrewsinthevertical edgeof the fence cross-bracket(seeFig.20).

To adjust the angle of the face plates,placeacombinationsquareonthetabletop and against the left face plate (seeFig.27).Usea6mmhexkey toadjustthelevelingscrewsasnecessaryuntilthefaceplateisparalleltotheverticaledgeofthecombinationsquare.
Thenextstepistoadjustthefaceplatestobeperpendiculartothetabletop.Theangle between the face plates and thetable is set by the two plastic levelingscrews in the horizontal portion of thecross-bracket(seeFig.26).Thelevelingscrews raiseand lowereachendof thehorizontal portion of the fence cross-bracketwithrespecttothemaintubewhilethe two face plates remain parallel witheachother.Adjustingthelevelingscrewstiltsthefencecross-bracketasneededtomakethefaceplatesperpendiculartothetable.

Adjusting Your T-Glide Fence System
It is usually possible to adjust the position of the faceplatesbyplacingasmallblockofwoodagainst the toporbottomedgeofthefaceplates,andthentappingtheblockofwoodwithaplasticorwoodenmallet.However,ifthefaceplatesdonotmovewhentapped,youcanloosenthe mounting screws as described below to adjust thefaceplates.
Youcanaccessthescrewsthatattachthefaceplatestothe fence through theslotson thebottomof the fence.Inserta5mmball-endhexdriverthroughtheslotattheendofthefenceandintothescrewhead(seeFig.30withendcap removed). Loosen the screw about one-quarter toone-halfturn.Donotloosenthescrewtoomuch.Thescrewshouldbejust looseenoughtoallowtheplatetomovebutstill tightenoughtohold theplate temporarilyin its new position. Continue this process with each slot/screw pair. Once all the screws on one face plate areloose,slidethefaceplatetowardthetopofthefence.
Thelaststepistosetthespacingbetweenthebottomofeachfaceplateandthetable.Thefaceplatesareheldinplacebyaseriesofscrewsthreadedintonutsembeddedinthefaceplates.Theheadsofthescrewsfit into key-hole slots in the sides of the fence (see Fig. 29 with endcap removed).

You may find that after adjusting the face plates theendofthecross-brackethasbeenraisedorloweredsuchthatitistoocloseortoofarawayfromthemaintube.Ifthisisthecase,turnbothplasticlevelingscrewsthesameamountinordertoensurethepositionindicatorlensesareclose,butnottouchingthefronttubeorrulers.
Thereshouldbeagapbetweenthepositionindicatorlensandtheruleronthemaintube.

Adjusting Your T-Glide Fence SystemInstallthefenceonthefronttubeandpositionthefaceplateasdesired,makingsuretoleaveatleastasmallgapbetweenthebottomofthefaceplateandthetablesothefaceplatedoesnotdragonthetable.Itmaybenecessarytoloosenandraisetheotherfaceplateaswellifitistoolowandinterfereswiththeadjustment.
Next,carefullyliftthefenceoffthefronttubeandplaceitonthetablewiththenewlyadjustedfaceplatefacingdown.Makesurenottomovethefaceplatefromthepositionyouset.Ifnecessaryyoucanclampthefaceplatetothefencetokeepthefaceplatefrommoving.Tighteneachscrewtolockthefaceplateinposition.Make sure not to over-tighten these screws as that may cause a slight concavity in the surface of the face plate near the screw.
Nowadjustthepositionoftheotherfaceplateifnecessary.
Congratulations, your fence system is now installed and your saw is ready to use.
Using Your T-Glide Fence SystemTheripfenceincludedwithyourT-GlideFenceSystemisusedtoguidematerialparalleltothebladewhenyoumakeripcuts(cutsthatarelength-wisealongthegrainofthewood).Thefencemustalwaysbeusedwhenmakingripcuts.
To use the rip fence, begin by placing iton the table so that the fence bracket isrestingontheupperrearedgeofthefronttube.Youcanusethefenceoneithertheleftorrightsideofthebladefornon-bevelcuts.Ifyouplantomakebevelcuts,usethefenceonlyontherightsidetopreventthebladefrompossiblycontacting the fence.Afterplacingthefenceontherails,lifttheredhandleuptotheunlockedpositionandslidethefencetotheleftorrightuntilthedistancebetweenthebladeandthefenceisapproximatelyequaltothedesiredwidthofcut.Adjustthepositionofthefenceuntilthecursorontheindicatorlensisdirectlyoverthedesiredwidthofthecut.Usethelensontheleftwhenthefenceisontheleftsideofthebladeandusethelensontherightwhenthefenceisontherightsideoftheblade.Oncethefenceisinthecorrectposition,pushtheredlockinghandledowntothelockedposition(seeFig.31).Thefenceisnowlockedinplaceandreadyforuse.
