1. Heena Varma and Apurva Thakare participated in Pre Selection of State level „Avhan
Disaster Management Camp‟ which was held on 15th

JULY 2015
10. Rasika Tambe (BE E&TC), Shavita Koul(BE E&TC ) along with other volunteers
participated in tree plantation at Omkar Trust, Gujarwadion 03rd
July 2015.
11. Thirty NSS Volunteers along with P.O. and Prof D.D. Pukale organised animal adoption
activity named “KARUNA” 5th
July 2015 at Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park in which we
adopted 2 white tigers for a day.15 NSS Volunteers performed Street play at Rajiv
Gandhi Zoological Park on the topic „NISHABDA – Aawaj Mukpranyancha ‟.

16. On the occasion of digital week an activity named “PLUG IN INDIA” was organised in
which three competitions were held that are Debate Competition, Rangoli Competition
and Poster competition on 17th
July 2015 at BVCOEW.
17. Thirty volunteers volunteered as “Varkari-Mitra” on 11th July 2015 during the Palki
stay at Pune. Security management, water and sanitation management and medical
facilities for the Maulis‟ were undertaken by the volunteers.
18. Ten NSS Volunteers attended the inauguration of dindi on 12th
July 2015.
19. Twenty NSS Volunteers volunteered as „Varkari Mitra‟ on 12th
july 2015 along with
Palki from Hadapsar to Saswad.
20. NSS Volunteers organised the celebration of Ekadashi on 27th
july 2015 at BVCOEW in
which volunteers had sung Bhajans.
AUGUST 2015
21. Essay competition and Slogan competition was organised by NSS Volunteers at
BVCOEW under Anti-Tobacco campaigning.
22. Area coordinator Prof S.A.Itkarkar was invited as a guest at Sarhad College of Science
,Arts and Commerce on 11th
August 2015.
23. One hundred and fifty volunteers along with P.O. and staff members celebrated
Independence Day on 15th
August, 2015 at BVCOEW.
24. Twenty five Volunteers along with P.O organised a Tree Plantation program at Taljai-
Pathar on 15th
August 2015.
25. One hundred and fifty volunteers along with P.O attended the Orientation program on
20th
August2015. NSS Alumni Volunteers Nupur Jagtap and Mamata Yengul also
attended this event.
26. Sixty NSS Volunteers with P.O.attended „Mind and its Control‟ workshop at
„Dnyaneshwari Sankul Kendra ‟ , Nasrapuron 23th August 2015.
27. Ten NSS Volunteers attended the one day workshop “UDAAN” at Sir Parshuram
College on 27th
August 2015.
28. Fifty NSS Volunteers along with staff members and P.O. on account of „Raksha
Bandhan‟ on 29th
August, 2015 visited Old Age Home at Pune Vidyarthi Graha. The
NSS volunteers celebrated this festival by tying rakhis to the elders.
29. Seven NSS Volunteers participated in SRD/NRD pre selection at BVCOEW (College
Level) on 28th
August 2015.
30. Forty NSS Volunteers participated in diary making activity on 30th
August 2015.

36. NSS Volunteers organised Engineer‟s day and Teacher‟s day on 15 September 2015 at
BVCOEW . Quiz competition was held for all the volunteers and „Gavhankur‟ and hand-
made dairies were presented to the professors as a token of gratitude.
37. Peace day was celebrated on 21st September 2015 at BVCOEW.
38. Ninety NSS Volunteers attended Police Mitra training at police Head-quarters,
Shivajinagar Pune on 16th

42. Apurva Thakare volunteered during village Ganapati Festival and created awareness of

OCTOBER 2015
43. Twenty NSS Volunteers organised „SWACHH MAHAVIDYALAYA ABHIYAAN‟ at
BVCOEW on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd
October 2015.
44. One hundred and fifty volunteers along with Principal, P.O., staff members and alumni
attended NSS Foundation Day Foundation program which was celebrated in BVCOEW
on 03rd
September 2015 .Social Worker Mr.Kiran Sonar was invited as the guest of this
event. NSS Alumni Volunteers Mamata Yengul, and Kritika Surya also attended this
event.
45. Twenty volunteers along with P.O participated in TREKKING at LOHGAD Fort on 04th

73. NSS Volunteers visited Handicaped Institute “SAWALI” kothrud on 26th

with an emerging NGO “NIRMAAN PARV MANUSKICHE”. Volunteers performed
various activities and games with the children.

SPECIAL CAMP REPORT
28 December, 2015 to 03 January, 2016

As more than 50% of India resides in villages, so therefore, for the development of
the nation, we must start with the development of the rural areas. With this moto, the NSS
department of Bharati Vidyapeeth‟s college of engineering for Women had organized a 7
days special camp at KONDIWADE, from 28th December, 2015 to 3rd January, 2016, in
association with Savitribai Phule Pune University.
The camp was inaugurated by Shri. Somnath Landge, Mrs. Radhika Ingale
(Sarpanch), Principal Dr. D. S. Bilgi, Staff Members , NSS volunteers , members of gram
panchayat & residents of the village. Then the NSS volunteers started with the Gram survey
in order to know the needs of the village & the residents there.
Next day started with a very informative lecture by former NSS volunteer Miss.
Kritika Surya on how the National Social Service scheme in full of opportunities for the
volunteers and how NSS provides a platform for the student to focus on self as well as social
development. After that many competitions for the children of Kondiwade were held by the
volunteers such as- essay writing, drawing, rangoli.etc. The volunteers carried out a rally on
the issues of women empowerment.Free health check up camp in association with NSS
volunteers of Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy, Narhe, played a great role in helping the
peasants. This health check up included haemoglobin, blood pressure, blood group & BMI
check up. Around 150 people got benefited by this camp.
The following day, volunteers did yoga in the morning under the guidance of
Yogacharya Amol Patil and this was followed by another two lectures which were on
parenting guidelines conducted by Prof Savita Atul Itkarkar.
There were also some street plays performed by the NSS volunteers with respect to
every guest lecture in order to make the villagers understand the need of awareness about the
particular lecture in real life.
On Thursday, a lecture on communication skills was delivered byDr. Deepali Godse.
The volunteers then welcomed the new year with a celebration.
Volunteers on the first day of new year were given a precious guidance on career
planning and management by Prof. Vijay Navale which was followed by a group discussion
amongst the volunteers on the current and important issues bothering the world. A visit to the
local rose factory was paid by the volunteers along with the staff. In the evening, a program
of home minister which was nothing but a haldi kumkum ceremony was organised for the
ladies of the village.
On the last evening, a gathering was carried out which gave a wide platform to the
children of the village as well as the NSS volunteers to bring out their talents in the field of
acting, dancing, singing & many more. People from & around Kondiwade enjoyed the
evening.
At the same day, a lecture on consumer rights and a lecture on cleanliness and
sanitation both were conducted by the NSS volunteers.
Thus with the support of our honorable Principal Dr. D. S. Bilgi, NSS program
officers Prof. Savita Itkarkar & Prof. Sonali Kadam, Teaching & non-teaching Staff Members
, NSS volunteers & the villagers, the camp came to a successful ending on 5th January, 2015.
