A new and updated version of CORE is here. CORE (Comprehensive Organizational Review Evaluation) was established in 2014 by City Manager Ed Zuercher. His challenge to departments: embrace change and engage all levels of the organization to be creative and think differently on how to do more with less.
Check out what CORE is working on right now on the redesigned web site.

For too many children, hunger is a constant and unwanted companion that makes it difficult for them to focus on learning. Many schools have breakfast and lunch programs for students in need, yet there are still many meals they go without. Weekends are also especially tough for those who face chronic hunger. United Way’s WeekEnd Hunger Backpack program provides children with seven easy-to-prepare weekend meals and snacks to ensure they return to school Monday ready to learn.
You are invited to create inspirational cards to show these children that a caring adult knows they will succeed. These cards are tucked away into the weekend food bags which are provided to more than 500 children every week during the school year. Details:
