SEKURA Vertic Pro®

The Vertic is a minimalistic overhead RFID reader which can be ceiling or wall-mounted to maximise customer free flow. This unique reading device captures information from an array of RFID transponder labels and tickets, and converts this into data for your company business software. The Vertic, a key component in the RFID system package, has a integrated alarm function and is placed at exit points throughout the store to identify stock loss.

SEKURA Verifier Merchandise Scanner

The verifier is a neat unit mounted above or below the surface of a cash desk, scanning the Sekura RFID labels and transmitting data back to Sekura software, or directly to the POS system.

The verifier, a key component in the RFID system package, will provide an audible ‘beep‘ to confirm, and is available as a deactivator or deactivator & reactivator model.

SCOUT for Inventory with SmartScan improves the following business processes:

• Goods in: verifying that the received products are correct against an ASN (Advance Shipping Notice)• Inventory• Pick list: items to take from the backroom to the sales floor• Discrepancies: differences between the RFID inventory and the stock in the IT system of the retailer• Returns: items to send back to the distribution centre or to another store

The Process:

AM is one of the most popular technologies in security tagging. It stands for Acousto-Magnetic and the frequency is 58KHz. This technology is available in a variety of different formats including pedestals, hidden loop systems and under floor systems.

The small AM label which measures only 44x10mm is ideal for tagging smaller items, especially to avoid covering the packaging. The AM technology can be incorporated into almost any hard tag design within the Sekura range, making this technology one of the most adaptable for all types of retail merchandise. The SEKURA Midi Alert system is sleek AM EAS pedestal system providing an economical and yet reliable solution for the popular 58 KHz technology, and can be positioned 2m apart for hard tag applications.

The Sekura AM Maxi Alert system offers the ultimate in terms of aesthetics with its transparent finish, and powerful detection range of up to 1.5m (5’) each side as a single pedestal, and up to 3.0m (10’) between pedestals as a 2-pedestal system.

Sekura’s world class RF systems are the more economical alternative with no compromise to quality.

RF constitutes a large percentage of existing pedestal systems in the marketplace and is generally found in a pedestal format.RF systems accept a wide variety of hard tags and alarming tags and are frequently found in fashion stores, supermarkets and DIY centres. The Sekura RF systems also accept the 40x40mm and 50x50mm label, both of which are completely flat and suitable for overprinting with a warning, customer logo or run through a thermal printer to overprint pricing and barcoding information.

Both pedestal designs are available as standalone single pedestal systems and also as a master/slave configuration where one pedestal transmits whilst the other receives the signal from the tag or label. The systems can be supplied RFID-ready and will detect a 40x40mm label at 1.8m apart and a hard tag at 2.0m apart. By adding antennae, these

systems can cover any exit configuration.

The master/slave configuration is most recommended where there are tagged products close to a doorway and the detection field needs to be kept to a minimum.

Sekura provide a complete range of detachers and deactivators to support the various tags and tagging systems available from the range, for all technologies.

Subject to your requirements, deactivators can be placed in a hidden position, with an audible ‘beep’ to confirm

deactivation., whilst detachers can be provided with a locking mechanism to prevent unauthorised removal of tags. These options, amongst others, are available as a standard part of the package we offer.

KOALA™ provides the ultimate security against competitive tags as there are three points of contact with the bottleneck causing the tag to fit very snugly…making it almost impossible to remove.

KOALA™ tags are also more compact than other tags whether open or closed due to the unique shape and locking mechanism, saving on storage space and logistics. Koala™ tags naturally drop onto the bottle enabling fast application and removal (both single handed operations). This also allows them to be applied to bottles whilst not removing them from their display packs.
